Has anyone else seen this movie, I thought it was amazing, Daniel Day-Lewis was great in it, and the final scene was perfect.  I suggest if you get a chance to check out this movie.

It garnered a review from "First Things" magazine.  That peeks my interest.  It's available on their website.

I saw the trailer for it  a couple weeks ago. Looks good, but all I could think was he was trying to be Jack Palance.

i was reading somewhere where they were saying that lewis is a method actor and that when he was filming gangs of new york (a great role for him) that he never broke character for the entire filming.

the dude is a badass.  imho.

Daniel Day-Lewis definitely made this movie, I don't think it would have been as good with someone else in the lead.  Like I said it was an amazing flick and I definitely recommend checking it out.

I read on another site its kinda slow and not much action but overall a good movie.
But the question is, how much blood will there be? I am torn between this and cloverfield tomarrow.

I'd say go see Cloverfield, I watched both today and think you'd find it more enjoyable.  

The title is some what miss leading, there isn't much blood shed in the movie, although there is some, it mostly about Daniel Day-Lewis is a oil man who discovers a large oil field in California, it's a good story.
