Title: offline ideas
Post by: RoGenT on January 26, 2008, 09:21:31 PM
I know not too many people care about the offline section but thought maybe there could be more opinions for everything just in case no one is in TA and new people want to pratice, say flying, shooting (tanks, planes SB, etc)

Say at VH bases, or even at regular AB - enemy tanks move around in circle as the planes. For SB, moving CV back and forth ( kind of like duck targets)

FG = planes lower down

AA GVs - planes lower down

If none of my ideas end up in the game, then hopefully at least the Tiger sitting on the runway can be moved over.

I'll second the motion.  An AI plane with different difficulty levels would really really be cool also.  The computer could even call you a spitdweeb on PM after you shot it down:D

I have heard about people running into them in the MA, or so they have claimed.

A couple times me n my squaddies have been running missions in the MA only to be intercepted by a lone B-17....

After we destroy the target he re-appears so we again shoot him down, and then re-appears, now we all start rolling film believing its a hacker...

Then Skuzzy comes in and says hes running an AI test and hes the crazy B-17...

lol.... what a way to waste a mission!! lol

Thats great.....hope it is the start of something new!  I think off-line AI would be a great way to relax and get out of the MA's for a bit.

You can do this now.  Change to a country, and move one of its CV's right off the coast of an enemy field.  Change to that enemy country, mount up in the SB, and practice away.  You can also use the Training Arena map offline and do the same.

Moving tanks would be a cool addition to off line practice as targets for gv's & aircraft.

Something else I'd like is if we could plot the course of the drones similarly to plotting the CV's course.  I'd like to be able to set a different pattern for the drones to fly to make off line practice a little more interesting.  I'd also like to be able to preselect the type of vehicles/aircraft from any of those currently in use in the game.

AI would be sweet.  Maybe have two off line drone modes: A) AI off, follow preset course as set by player.  B) AI mode.

AI mode would have to have quite a few adjustable parameters though, including start/spawn location.  I really wouldn't want to be vulched off line by AI planes zooming in to attack the instant I spawned on the runway.  Would be good practice for the MA though. ;)
