Title: Perk reward for higher dar bar
Post by: B@tfinkV on January 28, 2008, 01:00:47 PM
how about if the perk point multiplyer increased depending on how big the enemy darbar was in the sector ur in? this might promote the hordes meeting each other not fighting 100 miles apart. It wouldnt effect me as i care litle about perks and scores but it might do seomthing to force/incite the hordes to clash. Or something like ENY but taken down to a sector limit not the entire arena,  relating directly to the enemy dar bar in that sector.

Bat ... you would be able to hear the wailing, gnashing of teeth, and foot stomping all they over there in Jolly 'O England that would overtake the current ENY drone.

ENY down to the sector would be nearly impossible to make work correctly, and even down to a larger local area very difficult.  The problem would be that taking down the fighter hangers at an enemy base would eliminate your ability to launch aircraft, too.  And no one would be able to ever take off from behind the front lines, because there would be no enemy to fight "further back" to decrease ENY.

I don't think the perk point multiplier would have a ton of impact on formation of the hordes, although it would potentially reward those who are willing to fly against them.

Think of the programming nightmare as the enemy dar bar keeps changing from kill to kill.

my bottom feeder il2 , doesn't make darbar, but i would like the 163s enabled on all bases, for the team in #s disadvantage ,under certain % limits

DadRabit I think he means getting rid of ENY would revert the MA back to the gameplay that made ENY happen in the first place.

ok, how about town building hit points related to dar bar? might make milking distant bases less frequent than two sides fighting over a base.

Personally, I would rather see a system where most AC cost a small perk cost with the most uber the most and the early war being free.  As eny comes into play it will cost more or less perks to fly each.  This limits the tendency for all the early war birds being hanger queens and gives a stronger and stronger bias towards the country with the lowest numbers.

Also it a bias against new or casual players that can't afford anything other than EW planes, whereas vets/experienced players can still easily afford flying LW cannon machines.

I'd love to see it happen but its really not a big issue. There are so many options within the planeset (with more coming {p-39:aok +??} that anyone who wants can find a good secondary ride.

I think the only way to alter the plane dynamic would be to have variable loadouts so not every plane was available at every base. The Eny does the same thing based on country #'s....but what if the further from your own HQ the base was the more restricted the plane set. Or on a captured base the plane choices "ramped up" over time with higher # eny planes coming "online" 1st. Guys could hotpad there rides but attrition would limit the "base rolling" just a bit possibly.
