Go get it, rent it, whatever. You may have an eye opening experience.

I don't rent movies that are produced by a self-proclaimed "producer" that manipulates facts, data, and information into a documentary and carrys a obvious political agenda. (Except maybe Charleton Heston :D )
I would suggest "Michael Moore Hates America" documentary next to flush your system of the brainwashing that has taken place in front of your TV. :aok

even CNN called him a big fat liar about the film. The man is incapable of telling the truth.

Did you watch Pearl Harbor?

I admit it would be an interesting subject.
But it has two problems that hurts its credibility.
Its writer and its director.
Now this might very well be the gospel truth.
I admit I dont know one way or the other.
But the fact remains he has ruined any semblence of credibility.
which makes it all too hard to take anything he tries to say seriously

hortlund... if michele moore had some shooting and airplane fights and stuff in his movies then I might watch em. knowing that he is lieing through the whole so called documentaries he makes and telling us it is gospel is not a pleasant experience for me.

Review: 'Sicko' a tonic, even with flaws (http://edition.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/28/review.sicko/index.html)
Here is the CNN review. It does mention flaws in the movie, but it also ends with this line:
It's not impossible that this bitterly funny, bitterly sad call to alms could move reform back up the political agenda. For that reason alone, you owe it to yourself to see this movie.
-
I think the point is that cnn... the lock step with socialism channel... the left wing of media.. the point is that if even they say it is full of BS... er.... "flaws"...
I would rather watch something with some objectivity and truth to it.

I dont know if he is lying in sicko, I havent seen it. I do know that Moore considered to film in Sweden to compare with the US, but they chose not to, because everone in the US would think the Swedish health care model wass made up. Instead they filmed in Norway I think.
-
and everyone knows that sweden is an exact duplicate of the USA except tiny and colder... it is like looking in a mirror. your system seems to handle it's 12 million illegals who don't even speak the language and 17% negro population just fine.
How do you do it!! it is amazing.

I can't wait for Moore's mockumentary on Obesity and the drain it puts on the healthcare system! :aok

I think the real point is that every single (negative) opinion written in this thread is completely uninformed.
-
I have no doubts that his points about the insurance industry are adequate.
But his own reputation of inflating "facts" to serve his own agenda have been shown over and over again.
Sadly, his "message" is lost on folks like me, who know he wont present the entire story.

You can say that only if those you speak of know nothing about the movie maker, Michael Moore. I think that those commenting here have probably watched some of his work and base their opinions on that. I know that's true for me. You don't have to taste **** to know it's a ****.

I watched it. He's a socialist, pure and simple. He rails about the evils of our healthcare system, and holds up government run health systems as the ultimate answer.
He completely ignores the fact that in a system where you have limited supply, and unlimited demand, rationing ensues. He also ignores the fact that there now are travel agencies which specialize in getting you out of socalist healthcare countries, and into ours, to get much needed treatment.
It's a warm, glossy, and completely 1 sided view of things intended to promote his ideals. It's even less fair & balanced than Supersize Me, which is tough to do.

Michael Moore owns stock in Haliburton.

The only good documentary Michael Moore did was "Roger & Me"

Did the really say call to alms?
1: archaic : charity
2: something (as money or food) given freely to relieve the poor
that's a clever turn of phrase.
