Title: Bomb sight calibration?
Post by: Carwash on January 29, 2008, 08:42:22 AM
I'm not a noob at bombing, but I do have a question.  I can calibrate just fine by getting into the bomb sight, pressing "U" and "Y", but is it possible to enter speed, altitude and target altitude manually?  This occured to me when I though about calibrating for a sea level target while flying over mountains.  The calibration should be wrong in this scenario unless you could manually enter target altitude.

There is no manual method. The bombsight is automatically incorporating the terrain altitude into the targeting crosshair.

Correction rolex, there is a manual bombing in the AvA Arena, the MA style bombsite is automaticly entering the target alt for ya, all you have to do is level off and get the calibrated speed.

If you wish to try out the manual bombsite, come stop by the AvA arena.

I used that style for years and am quite familiar with it, thank you. The question was about manually entering the information. The old-style method is just requiring some player action in calibrating ground speed, that's all.
