Just wondering if we have any cultists in here. hehe
We have a thread going in the WW2OL forums and have one guy that did a VERY poor job of hiding his membership with them.
Its been VERY entertaining.

IMHO, the only difference between Scientology and Mormonism is 120 years.

And I can stand Mormons.

Exactly, I did some research on Joseph Smith awhile ago, the man was a total con man.

L. Ron Hubbard bet Poul Anderson at a science fiction convention that he could write a book of complete garbage that in 6 months would make him a millionair. This was based on his total disdaine for the average mentality and wanna beleive gulibility of a science fiction fan.
Scientology was born.
I tried it for one session. It is based on the bait and switch method of con artistry. Two types of people try it. One type leaves during the first session. True beleivers who need scientology to be real stay. Hubbard knew this and designed the syntactical structure of the original book to feed their need. At the highest levels the members are making millions and know they are foisting a con. But like the ACLU they have an army of lawyers to ruin anyone who publicly trys to reveil the hoax.

Easy to find out.
Just ask how many belong to an "organised" religion to get your answer.
One persons religious group is another persons cult

Did Moses see the FSM?
Published by henderob January 20th, 2008 in evidence and General FSM news. 33 Comments
A very clever man who I know only as Theologikos has made the claim that Moses did not see a Burning Bush, but instead our Flying Spaghetti Monster.
He makes the argument that Moses may simply have had bad eyesight. If this was the case, what looked like a Burning Bush could easily have been the FSM.
With perfect vision, it’s easy to tell the two apart:

But with bad eyesight, the two look very similar:

A bottle in front of me is better than a frontal lobotomy.

I enjoyed much of L. Ron Hubbard's Sci-Fi but stopped reading his work about half way into his Mission Earth series, too sadistic.
-
I guess if you like Young Boys, Scientology is the church for you.
