Title: London AH meet?

we tried this before but never really had a proper date and the plan just fell apart.

but how about any of us that can make it easily (AH'rs that live IN london or not too far away), go for a pub trip one evening, fairly soon?

few beers, bowl after bowl of chips and talk about being dweebs addicted to this dumb game lol.

how many people might be interested? i'm fairly certain there are actually a fair number of us.

What you British AH'ers should do is get together and start planning a trip to Finland at the end of March. :D

Nah I live in Hackney and I havent been threatened with a knife for nearly 5 years. Just dont walk around with your wallet on show staring at a map with victim tatooed on your forehead.

Really though Ive been living around Hackney for 20 years and I dont even know anyone who has been beaten up. When I did get robbed I was living on a council estate and coming home very drunk in a taxi wearing a businees suit while my next door neighbours were dealing crack and had a constant steam of customers using the same landing. The scaryiest places I have ever lived are small provincial towns where people cant think of anything better to do on a saturday knight than beat the crap out of each other. (I dont mean Portsmouth which I hear is a fine place frequented by Her Majesties Servicemen known for their Sobriety and Pacifism)

i cant afford the beer down there,
i  dont want to be stuck in my car for 6 hours trying to get there or
stuck on a smelly train thats been delayed 2 hours

I'm up for the meetup, used to live in London so it will be good to go back there some time.

Bruv the only weapon you need is your mind! But there again in your case you may need a stronger weapon ;)

Yep, the Finnish AH spring meet is on the last weekend of march.  I wouldnt miss it, if I were you! :)

The most affordable tickets would be with Ryanair from Stansted to Tampere, Finland. Its only about an hours drive to the con.

Can you find me a cheap solution to come from Pisa to Tampere? Ryanair doesn't help for that one, schedules are a nightmare.... :(

SAS from Copenhagen direct to Tampere without change in Helsinki on March 27th can be had for 593 DKK (=80 euro). http://www.sas.dk/en/

So if you can find a cheap way to get to Copenhagen...

I'm considering going as well.
