Hi, I was online this afternoon without any problems at all.
Called up the options menu, change resolution settings and moved the top slider to the left.
Then wham ! White screen with small parts of Aces High visible but only faintly.
I deleted the AH folder and did a fresh install, all to no avail.
Any ideas ?
Regards

delete the video.cfg file in the aces high folder. Restart the game and it should set your levels back to default

I can't find a video.cfg anywhere on my PC at all ?

It's video8.cfg in HTC/Aces High II/settings

goto my computer, local disk c, HTC, Aces High, Settings, and you will find that video file there:aok

All the above is true, unless you are running Vista and did not install the game using the "Run as Administrator" option in the right-click menu and you are not the person who installed the operating system.
In which case, you would need to use the Windows search and find "video8.cfg", then remove it. So intuitive,..ain't it? :)

Running vista
Didn't right click on the menu
and didn't install the OS
Also the Windows search didn't find it
So,
I re-installed in to a new directory and it worked.
Thanks gents

Yep, if you did not install the operating system, you are not the administrator. The OEM manufacturer is the admin for your computer.
In order for most software to work correctly, you will always need to use the "Run as Administrator" option for the installation.

I just had this problem and used search to look for "White Screen". My video file in the htc ah2 was called simply video8 with no cfg or any other labels even in the properties list. I deleted it and game came back on fine. There was also a video7 right beside video8 but didnt do anything with that.

Rondar, the file name is still "video8.cfg", you just are not seeing the extensions on the file names as you have them turned off in your installation of the operating system.
