I love my new X52, but it's getting very noisy.. where the spring plate rubs against the base.
I tried a little bit of water-based "adult lube" on it and it shut up for about ten minutes (didn't want to use anything oil based because it's on plastic).
What do you guys use? I've heard about graphite powder, but I haven't tried it yet.
Wife won't let me play when she's in the room! (I don't even notice because of my headphones haha)

i swapped mine out for a CH fighterstick. squeeking gone.

Try a little piece of tape or you could cut out a little portion of the tape and place some cellophane in there.
Tape also works if placed over the mouth of the ofending squeaker.

Vaseline. A thin coat will last a long time.

No... vaseline will damage the plastic over time.. I found that out with my X45. It will also void my warranty.
Moneyguy, I'm glad to see you solved your problem, but your post is mostly useless. If I wanted a CH, I would have bought one in the first place.
Fuseman.. good idea, but I'm going to try some silicone lubricant, per recommendation of the Saitek guys. I brought home a bottle of "Sil-Glyde" brake parts lubricant from work.. it's safe for plastics and rubber.. so I think it'll work fine.

3in1 silicone spray.
Spray a little on a cloth and wipe it on to the ring.
