Are the new requirments on the web home page mandatory? Or are those going to be the new requirments for future updates?

Because my old cpu i have at home ( not the one i'm currently using ), Is clocked in at 999mhz :o , 256 ram :o , and i'm running a nevidia 5500, worked fine a few months back, but haven't tried AH on it yet.

It is difficult to get the game to run well at all with only 256MB of RAM.  You can try it.  Wil lnot hurt anything, but do not be surprised if it is a warp/lag/stutter fest.

a squadie had the same problem had him up his RAM and he runs great talon. he had just about the same set up as you.
