If you are referring to me, I don't like Coulter at all. I just thought it was surprising.

just some little issues like his track record on amnesty for illegals, support for planned parenthood, being a global warming fearmonger, stuff like that. Not anything that should get any conservative's panties in a bunch...

Because when it gets down to it, McCain is not a conservative. Most conservatives hate McCain for the same reasons as most liberals hate Lieberman.

Way too true...But Coulter endorsing Hillary was completely out of left field, to be sure.
What's funny is, is that Coulter has more to lose, than Hillary has to gain. Having a Neo-con mouthpiece like Coulter endorse you means that...You are actually a neo-con too? Or that there really is a parallel agenda between both parties, and that the best proof is right here? Kinda interesting.

People quite aren't really understanding what's going on here.
Coulter isn't saying that she's supporting Clinton. She's saying that McCain is more liberal than Clinton.
-
exactly. she's not going to play into the partizan game. given the choice between candidate A and candidate B, she'll support the more conservative of the two. If A is McCain and B is Hillary, then B get's her vote. If only we had a candidate who was a real conservative...

She said in the vid, that she would actually campaign for Clinton, if that's what it took to defeat McCain.
However...If conservatism is what she touts, then why didn't she support RP, or any of the other Rep. candidates? Why try to go Dem.? It really doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, But Hillary's no conservative. As a matter of fact, how many of you here believe that a Hillary Clinton administration will be any different from that of Bill Clinton's? She's actually got a track record of what she's done, in that regard.
However, if McCain really is that suspect, then how come the GOP hasn't cut his legs' out from under him yet, if he's so out of line?

Because the GOP only cares about winning even if its McCain...

Ron Paul isn't really a conservative either. He's a libertarian. Ann Coulter is a strict conservative.
Where as Ron Paul believes that it's none of our business what two fruits do with their willies, Coulter believes its wrong and they should be imprisoned for immoral behavior.

the argument can be made that libertarianism is the core of old-school (as opposed to new-school, or "neo") conservatism. Most libertarians I know are disaffected Republicans, not disaffected Democrats. Wasn't "smaller gov't, lower taxes" the GOP mantra for years?
Ronald Reagan in Reason Mag, 1975 (http://www.reason.com/news/show/29318.html) If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
-
lol now that's funny if it's true. That women is a biotch.
-
Maybe Coulter just likes Hillary's plan to smash the Middle East economically.
-

I just like people that step away from the herd and think for themselves.

It is the core of conservatism, but very few people are willing to make that step into Libertarianism.
To nearly all people, it's very tempting to tell other people how to run their lives. So much to the point that most people (just look at core conservative beliefs) are unwilling to say to themselves that they do not have that right to tell other people how to live.
For example, conservatives do believe that government should be smaller, but then they come out and say that Homosexuality should be denied any rights or priviledges given to regular men and women. This isn't so much as a desire for smaller government, but being repulsed by the evils of an all engrossing government.

and hence the conservative dilemma. paleo-con's want small gov't and lower taxes. neo-con's want to regulate morality. You can't have both.

That is true, about Coulter; However, She can't be so naive' as to think that Hillary Clinton won't be anything but more condoning to gays'-As she has in the past.
Plus, you can bet that HC would just about do anything asked of her by any pro-gay lobbyists'. Surely, Coulter should realize that...
-
just thinking, if McCain is on ballot, maybe he will pick his Lieberman buddy as VP.
-
My sig says it all---it's an Ann quote
-
well that was weird.

I may just stay home if I have to choose between McCain and Clinton.

I fervently hope Barack wins Dem nomination, and I plan to vote for him. At least THEN I won't have to hear about racism anymore, AND we can get a good look at applied liberal doctrines, after all, it their turn:aok
(Also McCain's ilk will damage conservatism long-term heap more than Barack or Hillary could)
-
Regardless of his war record. McCain is a lying liberal bastard.
-
I guess there's an upside to McCain taking the Republican nomination. I won't feel quite so bad if Hillary wins the election.
Yes I will. :(
-
Of course Ann Coulter wants Hillary to win. There's at least 3 or 4 books it could write with her in office.
-
Ron Paul

so it is... "mc cain is almost as bad as a democrat"?
Well yeah.. he almost is. I don't know what the answer is.. no one worth a crap has a snowballs chance in hell of winning or even making a splash.
I know that the very worst candidate is always a democrat. that giving them the whitehouse makes sure that bills are brought forward and signed that are sociailst in nature and destroy our rights.
I know that democrats will put in liberal activist socialist judges to make sure that their nanny state is not challenged and that PC and thought police and "for your own good" reign.. I know that democrats hate an individual and see them as a threat to socialism.
I know that they will gut the military and spend the "savings" on fledgling socialist programs that will drown us in a few decades.
I know that any supreme court justice they appoint will think the constitution is toilet paper.
So... "almost" is still a big deal to me.

I guess I still don't understand why anyone would pay attention to Ann Coulter about anything, she has never been anything but a bomb thrower.
It is interesting only in the fact that I have been saying that if you like bush as POTUS you are gonna love hillary, both are autocratic stateists.

the media has not said anything about congress, all of the house and one third of the senate are up for reelection.
the president is just the administrator , congress makes the laws and spends the money.

She didn't endorse Hillary, despite the troll.
She said IF MCCAIN is the republican candidate, she'd campaign for Hillary.
There is a difference.
