Hey guys, I've always had this problem I guess, but now its kind of annoying to say the least haha. Whenever I click on an enemy's name in the film viewer so that I can watch our fight from his perspective, I like to have the check box for Use Recorded Views checked so I can see where the plane is relative to that POV, you know? But when I watch through the enemies POV, it always seems like it uses the ones that were recorded for me. Whenever the enemy is on my six and following me up vertical, the views will always looks backwards and stuff, especially when the enemy is firing, as if it was using my original recorded views.
Is there anyway to get the original enemy views, or at least something I can use where the computer will modify the views for me when I am in the enemy POV so that my plane will always stay in sight? Makes it easier to see just how big of a shot window I give my enemies, and what its like from their perspective without concentrating on trying to hit the number pad to keep "myself" in view.
Thanks,
donkey

No, your enemies views are not transmitted to your computer and thus not recorded.
Also keep in mind that due to lag, both planes have different positions on his FE. 200 ft are easily possible sometimes even more. So while on your film it would seem that he doesn't have a guns solution on you, he actually could have had one on his screen.

I believe the only recorded views you can get in a film are those of the person filming.

Aright, rgr that. Is there at least some way that I can lock my plane into "view" when I'm in the enemies POV, so that I can at least focus on where I am relative to him without constantly trying to manage my num pad?

I just uncheck "use recorded views", turn off num_lock (shuts up the error ding), and view manually when watching from another planes POV.

Alright, guess I'll just keep doing that lol.
Thanks for the help guys.

you know donkay if you were serious about seeing what your eneme is seeigng maybe you could do a capture from his pov while using the num pad to get his views.
run a capture of the fight and have it record your inputs, is that posible?

Ya learn something new everyday !!! ... I hate that "ding".

When I watch from the enemies plane I cannot see my plane through his gun sight.
Is that normal?

Yes plmmer, that is a known issue.

Kill on the ding, so great. Thanks Murdr.

Anyone run into a AH Film Viewer glitch where it looks like nighttime when it is not, and the snag causes films to be un-viewable.

I've observed a couple of things that might be related.
In the arenas, after 17:59 hours (sunset) on the clock comes 06:00 hours (sunrise). In the film viewer time doesn't skip ahead 12 hours.
Under at least some conditions in the film viewer, the sun moves across the sky whether it is in "play" or "pause". Chances are if you started a film close to 18:00 hours it will be fairly dark, and only continue to get darker the longer you have the viewer open whether it is being played back or not. Restarting the film without reloading it in ahfilm, does not appear to reset the sun to sync up with the cockpit clock.
