Title: No new fix old
Post by: derkojote23 on February 01, 2008, 09:45:06 PM
Id love to see the existing equipment fixed. Like the Tiger, its turit turns to slow and its to easely damaged. Iv seen some excelant stuff to work from, "Tigers in the mud" comes to miend. Im sure others could come up with some stuff as well. I just think that the game over all ROCKS and while getting new stuff would be cool geting things that are busted or not working properly first would be cool to. Take time to walk about the maps and add some roses to smell, ; ) Perhaps mod the turain to be Less see thrue. Fix the rubber hills and buildings so GVs dont bounce off and flip over. :aok  I know we all want to see new equipment, And Im sure we will and I know you are all trying to balance out the things you come out with to pleas as many ppl as you can, not eassy. I dout you will fiend any one that does not have issues with the modding of some air craft turain or GV.
Thanks.

Lemme give it a shot:

No new changes.  Please fix old problems first.

I'd love to see the existing equipment fixed.  Take the Tiger, for instance.  Its turret turns too slow and it is too easily damaged.  I've seen some excellent reference materials you can use, such as Tigers in the Mud.*  I'm sure others have reference materials they can also recommend.

Golly, this game is swell!  While it's cool getting new stuff, getting the existing problems fixed should be a higher priority.  Take time to walk about the maps and add some roses to smell, ; )[ ]  Modify the terrain so that it is not as transparent.  Alter the hills and buildings so that they don't behave as if they are constructed of rubber and cause GVs to bounce off of them and flip over.

I know we all want to see new equipment, and I'm sure we will.  I also know that you are trying to balance the new features while altering existing functionality to please as many people as you can.  Not an easy task!

I doubt you will find anyone that does not have issues with the modelling of some aircraft, terrain, or GV.

Thank you!

I can see how some tweaking to the terrain could be an advantage, but I disagree on the Turret tweak to the Tiger. The Turret on the Tiger was notoriously slow to traverse, it's one of it's well documented shortcomings.

"The Tiger was too heavy for most bridges and a lot of roads, and the running gear suffered from clogging in muddy conditions. It's gun was immensely powerful, but traversed very slowly, and its performance in the field was hampered by being underpowered and fuel greedy."

I agree some "glitches" have been around for years, and perhaps its time for a re-mod?

Oh yeah, way to go on trying to make this thread into a joke guys, but he has a valid point...acting like a bunch of tards doesnt make him look so stupid as it does you :D

HINT: Before you start beating up on other's lack of education, READ what you have written, so you don't destroy any credibility you might have had previous to your post.

Well maj, for your info, I stated it in a way that there mentality would understand.  As for the statement "0 if u ask me" means they aparently have no education or very little.  Guess you not as smart as you thought you were if you couldn't figure that out.

AKDogg: Sorry he lost me with his first claim about the Tiger.  And the claim about every one has some issue with some thing they do not like that we are then suppose to guess at.

Sorry way over the top.

I believe the game has it doing about haff its capable speed, thoe I have not actualy ran it on a stop watch, here is my sorce thoe.

"The turret was turned by a hydraulic gearbox. the gunner's feet rested on a tilting platform. If he pressed the of his foot tward the front, the turret turned tward the right; if he pressed with his sole to the rear it turned tward the left. The more he pressed in the corresponding direction, the faster the movement. At its slowest, a 360-degree revolution of the wepons in the turret took sixty minuts. At its quickest, it took sixty seconds." (Tigers In The Mud, by Otto Carius. translated 1992)

OK then let's put this to rest.
I just upped a Tiger and traversed the turret through 360° timing with a stopwatch.
Guess how long it took?
EXACTLY 60 seconds.

Yup did it last night to. Well,, :D sorry,, Umm lol. Still there are some things like armor values gun damage as well as some turain fetures (Supper sheep, and rubber houses to name a fiew) that are still messed up. As it is the game does rock, Im just saying that if we all forgo some new things for some fixes to the existing things then HTC will not need to spred there techies so thin.
