I started flying in WB back in 97 ish time frame, and flew this game on and off when it first launched, but pretty much stopped flying due to a move I made to Europe.
I figure I'd try out the 2 week freebie here as I hear that WB is pretty much a ghost town, and all I can say is holy @#!%!!!
This game has come a long way from what I remember.
While it is a royal pain in the keester getting adjusted to the view system and everything else, I'm pretty impressed with the direction they took the game in general.
So should you see an apparently AFK pilot flying around cut me some slack as I probably AM AFK, and for the love of all things holy, please, quit moving when I finally manage to get in behind you...
Cheers.

No way! I mean, I'm constantly being told for years that this game is going downhill! Actually they say it almost since day one, so I wonder why we can still play after all ;)
Welcome!

I suppose as long as you have developers, the back-seat commandos will follow. Well, welcome back, and have fun and don't whine or you'll be in this thread-:D

no there' abosoulutly nothing wrong with the game IMHO.
a few bugs here and there a few things that could be done better or added, and lets not forget net lag.
but, and it's a big butt.
some of the people here tend to ruin the experience for others.
im not preaching or anything but a little niceness can go a long way to keeping targets around for you to shoot at lol
someone puts up a good fight send em an if your not engaged.
someone kills you (even stupid dweeby guys) send em an .
turn the other cheek people and check your ego's at the door ocasionaly.
cause in this game its always a challenge. and your just as likely to get killed by someone better than you, as killed by a ho, ram, run, or chery picker.
i know everyone ocasionaly gets mad but that's the time to take a break, have a drink, clear you head and come back.
for what its worth,
my 2 cents.

Interesting post. I'm curious as to what you find to be positive or negative about the overall AH experience now, versus 8-9 years ago.

Maybe he has simply been away long enough not to confuse his own burnout with supposed "gameplay issues."

yeah idi, if you're playing in a GMT/euro timezone, check out the few, or 71 squadron, both have a lot of UK/euro members, although 71 squadron is larger and slightly more diverse (many americans, and lots of guys from all over the world).
welcome to AH!

Except for those dreaded flying trucks that pick you on the runway.
Anyway IDI, run!, save yourself from this addiction.
It's really good to hear a fresh view on the game. And yes it has come a long way. It keeps getting better and bigger.
So welcome aboard!
