I'm confused. How do you live in a completely socialist society and not be a socialist? Me thinks you've been "wallowing in your socialist cesspool" so long you don't knoweth the difference.
Here's an idea. How about us "conquering pigheaded Americans" pull all of our military bases (and servicemen's dollars) off of your wonderful continent and let you see what a wonderful socialist utopia you have when you have to actually defend yourselves.

You might try posting without the name calling and generalizations. On the other hand if the board is so distressing to you the solution is obvious, don't open it on your computer screen.

if you read my post carefully you'll see i WASN'T making the same generalisations about americans, but those particular americans on this board spouting such BS. perhaps you're one of them. if so, you've seen what i have to say, put a sock in it because you don't have a flipping clue what you're talking about...
sluggish, you obviously failed to see my point, that europe is NOT the socialist cesspool that some americans obviously percieve it to be. i'm a proud brit, and about as un-socialist as you can imagine. i would join the BNP (british national party) if they weren't a bunch of nazi racist dicks.

Did I miss something? Maybe I should leave the funny pictures thread for awhile and read other posts. Then again he might be referring to the "I went to public school" forum. I try to avoid that one.

Oh, to have been a native of one of those places in those golden years!

btw guys, i'm not trying to get at americans. infact i quite like most of ya :) polite, fun and usually not too serious.
i was just objecting to the guys going on about the cowardly socialists in europe. i don't like being called a coward or a socialist, as i am neither. some dweeb wants to bark up the wrong tree at me, i'm going to give a nice bite in return...

The way things were explained to me Britain is not socialist. They have socialized some things, such as healthcare, but are not socialist. Thats how it was explained to in my Economics class, the professor of which is British.

one thing i do like about our assorted political system. free, complete and decent healthcare. although at the moment it's a real mess, not enough money being put into it, being wasted on stupid schemes elsewhere.
i suppose some things about the british government are quite socialist in a way, but the people and country as a whole certainly aren't.

Yep, he is. I plan on going to see him in early March. Maybe then I can get him up on AH.
Right now, my computer is toast. I've been building an Irish Pub in my downtown area for some Irish investors and the weeks are averaging about 70 hours so I wouldn't have time to play if I had a puter.
I do know what I want; if I can just get an hour to get it ordered I'll be back up soon.
The pub has to open by St. Patrick's day or I'm probably fired anyway. :)
