Change it all you want. Again, where were all of the Patriots fans when Tony Eason was the QB?

I route for the Giants, yes I know it's going to be a blowout.

< Rooting for the Giants because the Steelers didn't make it:( .

the superbowl, 30 second ad for 2.7 million dollars.
we talking big business here. also big hype, it's THE GAME.
-
<--Would have loved to see GB beat the Pats and let Brett retire. Even though I love to hate on Brady, when you include last season, the Pats already have the longest winning streak in NFL history (23 and 0 I think...). A win tonight will make them the greatest team ever. Since Brady played for U of M, the Pats are kinda a Michigan team (we have no team of our own). I'm secretly hoping they pull it off. The problem is that Manning is such an "awe shucks" nice guy, you have to root for the Giants too.
(basically what I'm saying is that this will be a great game and I'll be happy whichever way it turns out...)

They lost in the playoffs last year...so 18-0 is what it stands at.

I think he is talking about a few years ago when they won a bunch in the regular season then the superbowl, but the Steelers ended their streak.
Anywho, I guess no one watched the regular season game between the two. It was 38-35 and the Pats had to make a huge late game comeback to win. This game should be just as close.

Oops. For some reason I was thinking the Pats won the Superbowl last year....
never mind

Hearing the score for Transformers in a Superbowl nostalgia commercial was weird.

True. But you have to score touchdowns in the red zone if you want to beat NE.

Golly-geen Eli, throw to your own damn team for once
not that smith helped much there
-
Giants D isn't playing that good...
-
Sacked again... + fumble.
G-Men are playing well overall.
-
Yup that just gave em some morale. They are played good into 1/2 time, we'll see about after the half.
-
Good game so far.
Definitely not what was expected.
Go Giants!
-
Talk about weird...this is turning into a defensive struggle. :huh
From the looks of things, Tom Brady is going to be black and blue and red all over by the end of the game.
Giants by 10....because they have more to prove.
-
Tom Petty... boring. Not a single wardrobe malfuncti- wait, no, that's ok.
The artificial crowd in front of the stage is a yawner too.

Oh, forgot to mention that part. He was wearing a Doritos 'sash' in the beginning, but it got ripped early on. Also, at the end he had to be chased off the field by security and head-butted some celebrity.

Stupid commercial break allowed them to review it, then throw flag.
Another reason why they need to stop having commercials.

5th sack.

Absolutely. Talk about "letter of the rules" instead of "spirit of the rules". This is the closest I've seen to someone calling a 'mulligan' in football because they didn't like how a previous play came out.

It's the Superbowl, you take whatever advantage you can get, the fans and press would rip him a new a-hole if he didnt.

WHY didn't he throw it to Toomer.

because he is Eli Manning

Come on Eli get off your knees your blowing the game
-
It's all scripted, I tell you. :noid
Think about it . . . Last time these two teams met, Brady to Moss . . . and Moss dropped it, which wasn't in the script. So the very next play, they do the exact same play . . . and the Giants defender conveniently fell down, giving Moss the catch, TD and the Patriots the game.
Here, third and goal . . . and the Giants defender conveniently fell down, giving Moss the catch and TD.
:noid :noid :noid :noid :noid

Now the stage is set. The kickoff will result in the Patriots being on their own 1 yard line, allowing a Brady to Moss 99 yard TD reception to surpass ALL super bowl records for all time.

So, then... he's not going to Disneyland?

Do you think they will stop referring to Eli as "the other Manning"? Or is he pre-destined to never quite live up to his brother, no matter what?

It's just a matter of time before Giuliani publicly congratulates the Giants and, btw, 9/11.
-
I don't watch football much but my gosh.....that had to be the greatest game I have ever seen.
-
That was like ever kids dream, your the underdog, 2:30 min left in the Superbowl and you need to go 80 yards for a touchdown to win.

the Vince Lombardi trophy has to be the most awesome looking championship trophy in existence

I agree the Pats are a great team. One of the best in NFL history
BUT
I predict
The Pats WILL go undefeated during the regular season but will NOT win the Super Bowl
But just as I last year said that The Bears were the most over rated Superbowl team in Super Bowl history.
I predict the Patriots will be the greatest team ever to not win it

I think that distinction belongs to the Stanley Cup. Better than the World Series trophy though.
Any who

Yeah and if Brady hadn't choked the Pats would have won, but would've count for squat.
-
To all the New England fans that stuck by their team through Spygate and the 18-0 run I only have this to say {nelson}Ha! Ha!{/Nelson}
What a great game! It's going to be fun watching all of the talking heads eating crow this week. Congrats to the '72 Dolphins, enjoy the champagne!
-
Nah they played a shorter season with less talented opposition. They can try to drink the champayne but its gonna leave a sour taste in their mouths.

But they still won the same amount of games the Pats did, but they actually won the Superbowl, but I guess they can rub that 1 game they lost in Miami's face.

Filth, your boys choked. Miami went undefeated for a season including the playoffs and SB. The Patriots didn't.
Miami is the Superior team STILL. No comparison.

I had to listen to the end of the game on the radio on the way to work, lost AM the play before the Giants TD and got it back just as the clock wound down. :furious :furious :furious :furious :furious :furious :furious

Ya, those are the idiots that got me booted from suicide pool. Couldn't even beat the lowly 49ers. Lot more than couple fumbles to. Maybe snap the ball on time when kicking a field goal. Just a bunch of losers.
As to the SB, about 5 minutes left, NE starts respectable drive, and power goes OFF. Had to finish listening to game in car on sirius radio. Good job Giants!
-
I just made lots of moolah.
Thanks Giants!
Amazing what 400$ on a 13 point spread, take the straight win by NY... amazing what it turns into.
Beer's on me.
