vanilla is good.

I had a slice of cake, a guy brought to work yesterday, with banana and vanilla flavorings.
it was nice and moist and so good .
oh and a slice of walnut cake. it was different but good. (for me anyway, never had any before)
he also brought in apple cinnamon brown sugar one, it got gone before I even got to the break room.  :(

I wouldn't mind some chocolate cake.

Betty Crocker 3 layer chocolate cake with extra thick chocolate icing. ohhh yummm
Mom used to fix it for my B-day years ago.

what ever your post was about for vanilla. if asking how much to use. just a bit will usually do. you want to get a hint of it without over powering the senses.
a subtle hint of flavoring, enough to tantalize the senses, not batter the senses senseless.

yeah you missed it, but....
could put a little bit of vanilla on a sausage pizza.

that sounds ummm yummy. :D


hmmm a sweet crust pineapple ham pizza.

crust made of a dessert.

mind wandering coming up with different ideas to try.

deep pan thick sweet  crispy crust (not quite a cookie) spinach with white cream sauce pie, sweet bell peppers, sweet onions, mild olives, feta cheese (maybe?) touch of sea salt, fresh peppercorns grounded medium to fine pepper lightly covering.  maybe a slice or two of tomato.

thinking mildly sweet not overpowering sweet.

I still prefer vanilla ice cream to any other flavor.  Baskin Robbins makes a great vanilla ice cream.

Banana cake with vanilla icing is a favorite food group.

couple of recipes for ice milk. one is vanilla ice milk. one is peach ice milk. one is mint chocolate chip ice milk.

was thinking whole milk with sugar disolved stir in a bit of vanilla extract, stick in fridge's freezor for a couple hours. then pig out.
(microwave the milk to disolve the sugar?)

was meant to needle meathead err meatwad.

vanilla ice cream on peach cobbler is good, had it many times since the first time I had it in 1971 or 72. (can't remember which year it was) it was homemade peach cobbler with homemade vanilla icecream (hand churned freezor with chunk ice and Morton's rock salt). funny I can remember it like yesterday but can't remember which year. guess I'm going senile.

In a fit of wild foolishness, one time while making scrambled eggs, I put in a dash of vanilla extract.   Terrible.  Don't do it.  Some things don't mix.

Maybe I will try some vanilla in my waffle batter next time I make a batch.  Usually I just toss in a little cinammon/sugar mix.

vanilla extract + tooth ache = no tooth ache. Just add the vanilla extract to the tooth that hurt's I usualy take a small swig off the bottle and let the tooth soke in the extract for a little wile then of course spit the extract out. It dosent cure the tooth ache but it will help sooth it till you can get to the dentist.  :aok
