Title: AVA could use more Squads/Pilots
Post by: waystin2 on February 04, 2008, 11:56:01 AM
This is an open invitation to all squads and pilots that like to fly Allied aircraft.  Please check it out in the Axis & Allies arena.  The allies can use your help!  When you login to the arena change your country to Rook(Allies) and ask for command channel on country chat to get started.  The Axis are Bishop, and there are no knights in the AVA.  The fate of the freeworld rests on our shoulders.  We must stop the evil Axis and their plans for world domination!:aok

yes, please join the allieds, they need all the help they can get, and we are tired of unfettered target practice. Our next push shall give us almost total domination and air superiortity.

join them and make it more fun. it will make you a better pilot because of it. they are a great bunch of pilots, though with little or no experience, they dont stand up well to the might of the Third Riech. Good Luck and have fun.

It is definitely worth a look after 8 PM EST.  Lately has been 40-50 folks, and a few nights a week or so ago there was 70+ on.  Fights are there, just not 24/7.  Please do come again and check it out!

Ah, I get it now, the "dead slow" thing.

You aren't the first to notice that.

What are the nights that you all have the most action??  Im looking to spread the Tomcatters around a bit more, spent last tour on squad nights in the Midwar arena.  My guys had a lot of fun. Been in AvA a couple times, does seem pretty interesting!!  Our squad nights are Mondays.

I'm going to jump back on Allies the rest of this frame. I wanted to fly Axis this one, but I'm tired of seeing all the smack talk from a select few tards whom fly Axis.

Mondays tend to be one of the heaviest nights as far as numbers.  Just about any night of the week during prime time hours is great.  Hope to see the Tomcatters participating.:aok

Hello Shuffler,

I have a simple request...Please take the time to check out the AVA again, as it improves the fun for everyone.  This goes for all interested pilots and squads.

Flew in the AvA for a little while last night on the Allied side.  Really enjoyed the break from the MA style of fight.  I will be there more often I believe.

Big to 68Tazz and the rest of the guys who escorted my Jugg on more than one occasion to deliver ords!

to Adonia and the other axis guys, was fun shooting/getting shot down by you guys.

so you wanna be more productive than me?....my advice is log on and have fun.  I absorb bullets at a frightening rate, but always have a good time. Don't be scared of the Uber smack talk a lot of your foes are actually decent folk also having fun.  The key thing is look behind you at all times and try not to miss yer shots, because a lot of them don't.

What I liked about the AvA was fact guys had to work together to take a base, your talking some running M3's to resupply (terrible job i know to waste your hour in a cartoon game just to run supplies) But if you want your side to win, everyone makes sacrifices. Lots of teamwork, 68th squad was a blast flying against last night when luftwaffe was rather unorganized at first but we finally managed to get around to organized defense and I simply had a blast, numbers were pretty fairly even around 30 each.

Granted Some some simple things about AvA: There is a set plane list for the week, so you only have a handful of planes to choose, which is GREAT to learn a new plane and how it fly against its counterpart, Fuel burns at 1.0 which means Dont take all the fuel you normally take in Main Arena, and finally ACK. Main Arena ack I believe is 0.5 where as AvA arena its 1.5.

Dont think your going to get many trips over a runway before superman in the ack guns takes your wing off!

I'm finding that out!  To me, this game is a ton of fun whether or not I stay in the air.

Actually the ack should be just the same as in the MA's, 1.0.

Maybe the ground crew is just better at hitting planes in the AvA. ;)

I have to agree with you on that one Panzzer.  There are a few guys on both sides that seem to have field gunning down pat.  Get rid of all field guns on any given base in the AVA if you want to approach.  You have been warned!
