Title: perk Question
Post by: Yosh on February 04, 2008, 06:37:00 PM
Ok i took a a 234 up and flew 15 missions.... rearmed after each one. I dropped a total of 13 hangars and 1 flack gun. Wehn i came back my 15th time i cam in and snapped off my landing gear and crashed. When i went into the hangar to check and see how many points i lost... it had deducted all 47 ( the cost of the plane at the current time ) from what looked like my original score. Any ideas????

Well you don't get a lot of perks for killing things in 234s, it's almost always in the -'s when you crash...I kill hangers, GVs, guns and everything and still loose my original price.

Your now suppose to land a 234 anyway...It's the only way to use Bomber perks up. So just remember to crash it when you done. It helps the economy that way. :D

I'm going to guess that the perk cost changed between your entering the hangar, and taking off.

I agree with Hubs..

you may have earned a few perks, but the cost rose while you were up, negating  your earnings..

Ive taken up a 262 because it was cheap.. 164 points... only to crash half an hour later and lose 250...

I thought you take it up for say 40, you crash, you lose 40.

It's fixed at takeoff, in theory, but I don't think the perk cost updates while you're sitting in the hangar, even if the numbers change enough to change the cost.

ie, You might see 40 entering the hangar, and 20 nitlets disco while you're setting  your loadout. You take off, thinking you paid 40, while the actual cost might have hit 50. You pork some stuff, die, lose 47 perks, and say, "what the fahell, ht?"
