I like sittin on the front porch drinkin beer and watchin my neighbors cut their lawns.

Just the ones who let let the front yard go to seed to try to increase the coverage and then tell how screwed up their yard looks.

:D

My lawn went dormant in mid Dec. It's still green, but not growing. That's perfect. I don't have to  mow it, and I still enjoy a green lawn until it begins to grow again in March. :aok

I used to have a company that installed Sprinkler systems..... Letting the lawn frown tall is not the answer. If younlet it grow it tends to grow up not out, takes energy to support tall lawns. Keep the grass mowed and it will have a stronger root system that will spread thereby filling in your lawn.

I have snow, so I get to wait until mid march to take the mower out of storage.

I have 2 aces, 90% of which needs to be mowed every 5 days during summer months, else it gets too long and needs to be raked or........wife gets mad.

At the point in my life, my daily schedule revolves around stuff that keeps her, if not happy, at least tolerable:furious . So I mow the frikkin lawn when it doesnt need it...only a few hours. (of utter non-shrew beer-drinking, mp3 blaring bliss!)

My favorite part about mowing was always kicking back after it was done, with a cold beer and 'surveying' my domain.

my favorite part is gettin payed. I mow our lawn, but then when im done I move on to the ones that make me money.  I once edges, weed ate, and mowed an acre in 2 hours with a push mower in july in texas after a quick summer rain. Gawd that was humid. worth the 40 bucks tho.

They have "Rock Gardens" and "Christmas Cactus" in Arizona...

Hopefully that's more of a vacuum cleaner than a lawn mower.
