question... what sort of occasion would it take to allow those f-18's & 14's to make those high speed low alt fly byes?
I imagine those are otherwise taboo- ?

Theres only one pre-req. Late 1980's, a hot shot pile-it around 5 foot 6 inches tall, and an air traffic controller with a hot cop of coffee.....DUH!

I'm pretty sure the Navy does these as a morale booster and to show new crewmen what a supersonic flyby looks like. Any Navy boys or girls know for certain?
