Title: Question about he yellow-surround U.S. insignia

Was it used all over the plane?   Think I've seen some shots somewhere where it didn't have it under the wing...

Any other details I should know about it?    I'd like to do a 38G from that time frame, since we don't have one....

According to Air Force Colors Volume 2 ETO & MTO the yellow surrounds were on all 4 stars.  The photos they show, do seem to indicate that as standard.
