The Russians should feel damn lucky. They get cool close up pics of our raptors in flight.
I wonder if they give rides on those bear incursion missions?
EDIT: hmm wingtanks, so much for stealth and whatever happened to the whole supercruise at mach 1+ for long periods without refueling? Them thar bears aint flying at superduper cruise. joo would think they be saving a crapload of pushaline

from what I understand it uses the 370/600 gal tanks from the F-16. The tanks can be jettisoned, pylon and all. This way they can take off with DTs, go balls to the wall en route and once they cross into bad guy land, they can kick the whole system off, have full stealth and increase their range. Pretty smart.

I really do wonder what the Russians think they will do with those bombers. Assuming we went to war with them and it was a non nuclear missile fight... Flying those bombers would be nothing short of a suicide run.

They better be. It is hard to tell from the range the photo was taken at, but that Bear looks remarkably clean.
