EDIT: hmm wingtanks, so much for stealth and whatever happened to the whole supercruise at mach 1+ for long periods without refueling? Them thar bears aint flying at superduper cruise. joo would think they be saving a crapload of pushaline

Post by: BBBB on February 08, 2008, 02:45:01 PM: from what I understand it uses the 370/600 gal tanks from the F-16. The tanks can be jettisoned, pylon and all. This way they can take off with DTs, go balls to the wall en route and once they cross into bad guy land, they can kick the whole system off, have full stealth and increase their range. Pretty smart.
