See Rule #15

There's a lonely bridge someplace, eagerly awaiting your return. ;)

I'm pretty sure those two couldn't be more different and still be counted as parts of the same political party...

Talk nice about McCain. We are supposed to respect our elders, and he is so old he'll probably be dead in a year or two.

well, his mother still breaths. In fact, mom campaigns for her boy. I suspect McCain will get his second wind shortly :aok

Beginning, more than likely. The end? How good are your survival skills...

McCain amounting to a Bush third term is not nearly so accurate as Clinton equaling a Clinton third term.
-
Wasn't Bush's third term decided in '04?

The only thing republican about McCain is the (R) next to his name.

McCain, while a bonafide war hero would be as bad of a President as Osamabama or Hillary. I'm leaving the top spot blank in November.

thats what they said about cheney... at least the being dead part.. oh snap!

Bush and McCain are opposite ends of the spectrum on many different levels. Honor, Credibility, Honesty... The list goes on and on...

Bush is not a dishonorable or dishonest man. He is simply lacking too much in functioning brain cells, and needs to rely on others such as Cheney to advise him what to do.

McCain isn't as bad as all that but you are correct he is basically another democrat in the running. it seems the democrats will get the top jobs with the flip of this two headed coin in november.

Only if you leave out the part where he claims to be a conservative Republican. Because he is neither. The ONLY thing consistently conservative and Republican about McCain is his position on Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bush is anything but stupid. Smart people know that they should delegate as well as surround themselves with other smart people to advise and council them. Bush is not a great speaker in most cases, and probably doesn't have great speech writers either. He is not a true conservative, but he's mostly to the right of McCain (not saying much, I've seen some Democrats to the right of McCain).
-
there is no way that mccain or even bush again would be as bad for anyone here (unless they are illegal or will never be employed).. will never be as bad as either of the top democrat commies running.
I don't like the guy but it is a night and day choice. I think you need only look at the tax voting record of mccain vs either billary or osamabama.

I have a feeling I'll be casting my vote for President the same way as Eagler and Lazs. This is kinda scary. :)

Not true. Look at his voting record, he's in the 80's and has voted with Bush more than most Republican Senators. Granted, I think the campaign finance "reform" was a horrible idea and, at the time, I was seriously pissed over the gang of 14 stuff as I'd have liked to have seen a showdown and have the Republicans knock the Dems on their bellybutton over the filibuster. Problem is, Republicans are no longer in charge but we got some cherry judicial pics and the Republians are going to need the filibuster, especially if a Dem gets elected president. Also, and this is the most important part, allow a Dem into the White House and you can say goodbye to victory in Iraq and the WOT. I'd vote for McCain even if I disagreed with absolutely every other policy position of his just for the war.

You missed the part where I said "Bush is not really too conservative".
-
"McCain vote = 3rd Boosh term"
Oh gawd. Its the 08 Demoncrat battle cry already
In 04 I remember them yelling to me
"Remember, a vote for nader is a vote for Bush"
Same song different lyrics.
Relax little girls
Odds are strongly in the Democrats favor this election.
Then maybe they will stop all the whining.
THAT in itself is almost enough to make me almost want the Democrats to win.
Kinda like when an adult caves in to the little kid wanting a lollypop because they cant stand the whining anymore.
"HERE! Take the frikken lollypop Just shut up already!!"

Actually, no I didn't. My point is that what are your options? McCain, who is fairly highly rated from a conservative standpoint even if he's made some mistakes, or Obama/Hillary are light-years away? No one else is going to be elected, just one of these three. Just because some get all pissy and whine that McCain isn't another Reagan is no reason to put Obama/Hillary into the White House. I, among others, would much rather see someone with a stronger conservative streak in them. And no, this is not Ron Paul regardless of what the Paulistinians think and he's unelectable anyway.
-
dred.. little kids don't stop whining if you give em what they want and neither do democrats. for the same reasons.

You guys are way too easy to bait. You like being lead around like that? It is going to bad enough as it gets closer to Novemeber. Let's not start pouring gasoline on the flames already.
