Gents,
Although the Germans totally dominated in the air, some very efficient close air support by the Russians tipped the ground battles in the Russian's favor in all but one EA. As a result, the Russians win Frame 3.
There were still an inordinate number of rule violations. Germans had 11 rule violations, while the Russians had 12.
Overall:
German Air Points: 38
Russian Air Points: 23
EA ALPHA Russian Victory
EA BRAVO German Victory
EA CHARLIE Russian Victory
EA DELTA Russian Victory
Net Score:
Germans 48
Russians 53
Gross Score:
Germans 48-11 Rule Vios=37
Russians 53-12 Rule Vios=41
For the FSO, Russians score a marginal victory:
Germans 133
Russians 137

Well I have to thank the help of the Fighting 31st for the help in the Bravo ground battle, we couldn't have taken it without there help.
Allies on the victory.

I was at EA Charlie at T+45. I saw no Russian GVs and lots of German Panzers still alive. Unless the russians drove off of the EA, it seemed like a Great Victory for the German Panzers.
You sure about that Russian Victory for EA Charlie?

Russians scored 18 kills on German vehicles.
Germans scored 13 kills on Russian vehicles.
18>13=Russian Victory for EA Charlie.

So if the Germans had more tanks, then more points available to the Russians?
Do GV deaths from aircraft count?

GV deaths from aircraft did count towards the overall kill numbers for each EA, as stated in some of the earlier discussion regarding scoring. So, as in the case of two of the EA's from Frame 3, Russian close air support actually tipped the balance in favor of the Russians, whereas the Germans would have won them had it merely been the GV's. I'd have to look it up again to be precise, but I think roughly 20-30 German GV's were killed by IL-2's vs. 3-4 Russian GV's killed by FW-190F8's for the entire frame. During Frame 2, the Russian CIC decided to use Yak-9T's almost exclusively, and therefore, Russian air-to-ground kills were practically non-existent akin to what the German's had in Frame 3.
Potentially, more tanks in the EA means more kills. But, there's also the consideration given to a side that is outnumbered in an EA. Should they prove more effective than the larger force, they win. If both sides swap 1-for-1, then its a tie. If the larger numbered force overwhelms the other side, losing fewer vehicles to the smaller force, the large force wins.

Whew!
I knew it was gonna be close..
As Allied CiC in FM3, I took a risk and used almost equal numbers of GV's and Sturmi's in each EA. I guess it worked out :aok
TY Allies, through all frames. A memorable FSO, and thanks for the new flavor Stoney!
SALUTE!

Anyone else appreciate the irony that the Axis effectively controlled the air, and yet were the most vocal about the plane set? ;)
