Aces High Bulletin Board

I once read about F86 pilots in Korea and one passage was particularly interesting when the pilot was in a high G turn and he was already nearly lost all his vision he heard his wingman shouting something in the radio and he told that he was not in a condition to comprehend anything he said but only heard some kind of muffled babbling.
Would it be interesting to have this kind of extra blackout feature so that in first stages you just lose your eyesight and then you would start losing your hearing too and when you are blacked out you would not hear anything since you are in a G-lock?

Sounds nice, would like to know what it would take to model it into the game though. Most people here would rather have HTC's time going into CT and more plane models.
-
Sure it would. It's just not a huge modification but just an adjustment to volume level controls providing better immersion. After all this IS a "wishlist".
I just thought it would be boring to request CT to be ready by tomorrow.
Makes me kinda glad I didn't request to have a date with Halle Berry as well. Would prolly cause too much delays to CT, although I heard it would be ready to launch in two weeks (TM).

This would be an interesting addition. Audio effects can add a great deal of immersion when done well.

when I black-out.... I hear Iron Butterfly...but that's for entirely different reasons.
-
And speed of sound would be cool too.
-
Would indeed. In lots of recordings of planes crashing you can hear the engine screeching from the air whizzing through the propellers. Would be nice to have.
-
That too, but I mean the physics of sound propagation.. We already have doppler, it'd be cool for the speed of sound to be modeled too. E.G. a supersonic round hitting its target before the gunfire sound gets to it.
-
That would indeed be amazing.
-
Hehe :) It would be awesome if we had that fussy noise interference when shells come flying nearby.
-
Yup, projectiles need "whizzing" sounds.
Also we need the sound of pilots breathing thru air masks when over 15k and pulling over 3+G's
Would make aces high WAY more realistic.
Most Flight sims have it, and im VERY surprised high tech has not added more effects to make the person feal like they are actualy in the cockpit.
Even down to how the head rolls and moves while the plane moves.
all very disapointing, honestly.
-
Wouldn't work because it could never sound like every player.
-
That would be re-hee-hee-hee-heely hard to put in the game, also, I wouldn't like having that happen.
"DaftDog...fdgfgfghnbcfhgdkfhg fkbn" Turns out to be "DaftDog, 262 on your 6!"
BAMBAMBAM
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM :O :cry
262 pilot: :rofl

As I said, "but just an adjustment to volume level".
So no muffling or any voice manipulation, although it is not too hard to do, but not necessary in this case.
