sharp skates are dangerous, the Federal Dept of Sports Safety, FDSS, needs regulations requiring dull skates to protect the children.

You can see the trail of blood on the ice from the wide angle shot of the entire arena.  Scary stuff.

Glad he survived. I saw they mentioned they saw no sign of brain damage. He's a hockey player, how could they tell if he has brain damage!?!?!? :huh

The doctor in press conference said his cartiod artery was hanging on by a thread.  If it had completely severed it would have recoiled into the body and been much much harder to repair.  And with the amount of blood that he lost anyway, you can guess the results. That guy is lucky.:O
