Ok lads, I abandoned this skin a while ago because I was making a real mess of it. I proceeded to start fresh with the Josef Priller 190 A5 skin and now that I have completed that I have learnt a few tricks and this 109 skin is back on track.

I understand that this skin is currently in the game (done by NrRaven) and like I've said before it is not my intention to discredit anyone's work nor is it to step on anyone's toes.

I simply feel that this version of the aircraft is a more accurate representation of the actual aircraft as the colours more closely resemble the actual RLM colours in use. I've also tried to adhere to images of the aircraft a little more closely too.

This skin is based on one profile and two photos of the left side of the aircraft.

It was flown by Martin Deskau in the Spring of 1944.

Arch, check your starbord nose, your a pixel or so off of the spinner.

I will assume the lack of markings on the starbord fusalage is intentional.

I would put some 3D effects on the control surfaces.

Those trianglish things on the nose are actually bumps, so any 3D effect you can create there is all to the good.

Canopy rails... color check isle #5.

Cheers Fencer, I had not spotted the missing pixels there, thanks.

All raised sections on the fuselage have had no 3D work done on them yet, nor have the control surfaces. They will be done.

The lack of markings is simply a 'haven't done that yet' they will be similar to the port side. The '176' will be different as it was sprayed by hand in a hurried fashion but it will essentially have the same markings as what you can see on the port side.

As for canopy rails... They're either dark grey or dark green. I've not commited to a colour yet but it is definitely not the usual 'same colour as the surrounding panels' on later model 109s.

There are lots of things wrong with the profile but that doesn't really matter... the photo is the primary source.

Ok great!

Be careful, your profile does not match the photo in the locations of the two colors especially around the area aft of the cockpit.  It appears the dark green is forward of the yellow 1.

Nice looking skin to do, looking forward to seeing it.

Ah, yes, my fuselage green does not come close enough to the aft of the cockpit. Cheers mate.

I never really comment or give input for skins for the simple fact I dont know the first thing about skinning, But this one looks kinda "clean." As in there arent any traces of Dirt or Exaust Markings.

I leave those things to last and I'm not quite finished yet. This was just a progress update. Cheers, though.

I dirtied it up heavily hoping to depict operation from grass fields in spring rains.

I also increased the opacity on the control surface depressions to make them more distinct
