Title: need help to get tv to run as monitor

Ok guys i need serious help

i got a new graphics card HIS ATI Radeon 2600XT ICEQ3 Turbo 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (AGP)

i got it to connect to my 26inch tv its connected via the dvi to hmdi connection.I can get all the different resolutions and i can get it to work fine as a pc.

but i cant get the damn thing to play aces high it just fires up and comes  up black and then say its caused a error.

i have tried resseting the screen resolution to the same as the game and it still calls error, i have tried everything i can think of but it still wont play games.

some one out there must know what i can do to make it work.

did you delete your "video8.cfg" file from the game? It will reset your defaults and start you with the video configure page in the game.

i dont even get to the first page in the game i just get a black rectangle then it closes and comes up error!!!

Plug in a monitor and reduce your resolution to say 1024x768 and try again.
We had an issue like this with the LCD TV we bought to put on the wall upstairs. It says in the booklet that has 1440x900 resolution but in VGA mode it is unsupported. I had to scale it back before I got it to work for me.

*edit* I just re-read your post. OK so it works OK until the PC boots AHII, Have you repeated the experiment with a monitor to see if the error is duplicated there?

Thats why you delete the video8.cfg file in windows BEFORE you start the game. This forces the game to load a default setup based on info it has on your computer. If you have something set wrong, you can't edit it till you can get it to boot up first.

the game works on a normal pc monitor even at its highest resolution.

the game does not work on the tv when its connected to the pc via the dvi hmdi cable,the game just crashes when u first try to fire it up.

the tv works perfect as a normal large screen for photos and internet surfing but not playing the damn game

Hello...
You are not listening to Fugitive.  Go to the location you installed Aces High, find the Settings folder and delete the  "video8.cfg" file .  Then launch AH.

i did and it still dont work.
