I can't remember the name or band but I think it was a slayer song. In one part of it theres a piece about some little kid being locked in a closet and its the little kid's voice talking, then at the end the kid makes this really insane scream. I tried the lyrics web sites but they are no help.
-
perhaps the Anthrax song "A Skeleton in the Closet"???
-
i just previewed that on iTunes, not it, but not bad sounding.
-
that would be Dead Skin Mask by Slayer
A song about Ed Gein.
The child's voice at the end says:
Mr. Gein? I don't wanna play anymore Mr. Gein.
Mr. Gein, its not any fun anymore.
I don't want to play anymore Mr. Gein.
Mr. Gein? lemme out of here Mr. Gein.
lemme out, lemmmmeee oouuuuuuttt!!

<<<< can't hear anything above deafening sound of screeching tires in my head.
TxMom likes Slayer? :huh
... but you're TxMom, your supposed to be the wholesome, nurturing alternative to the acidic, raw underbelly of the BBS. Not that there's anything wrong with said underbelly, but that definitely threw me for a loop.

:lol
Okay: Tonight I'm not listening to slayer. I'm listening to Andrea Bocelli and being thankful that I can't understand what he's saying because it would take all of the romance out of it.
"toss my apron this way, kids. I'm making cookies!" :D
-
WTF?? you won't let kids see beer but let them hear SLAYER in their sleep?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I spy a
TROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh yeah on topic, Seasons is oh, one of the top 3 best metal albums evar!
(no. 1 is "Rust in Peace" and if you dare confront me on that I will kill you)
-
I promise I won't keep you long...I'll keep you forever
-
you know I swear I owned the sheet TAB to this song, can't say where... I do know I still own the GFTPM issue with "War Ensemble", maybe it is another issue.
Back when Guitar Mags were for real Guitarists :D
-
Rust In Peace??????
Egads man.
Kill 'Em All is better by far. Not to mention Reigning Blood, South Of Heaven, and Seasons In The Abyss.
But then again I never undertsood the bid deal about Megadeth. Then again Metallica, to me, never recovered after Burton's death.
-
BTW Mustaine I saw Megadeth in '88 or early '89, can't remember, at The Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia. Was right up against the stage in front of Dave. Took a lot of pics until one of the roadies came up to me and told me to knock it off.
-
don't be dissin no Rust or Vic is gonna come whomp some arse :furious
Peace Sells is right up there, but Rust defines my true departure for wiggerhood to real life.
Seasons? well 4 maybe 5 truly epic songs, but the rest kind of stinkers.
name 1 stinker on Rust beside those that knock "Dawn Patrol"
Reigning? about the same as Seasons in overall quality, 4-5 AWESOME tunes, the rest could be left out.
Kill 'em?? commone.... let it die in Peace Sells :p
Actually although the mix was horrible I consider ... And Justice their best work overall... any time the 2 guitarists say it killed them, and there is a 9 minute song with the only lyrics are 30 seconds from a dead man has my vote. :aok
oh and yeah I seen them 5 times I recall, closest was on the Countdown tour 9th row. I also have a guitar signed by them, Marty too before he left. :D
-
Met Marty and Dave in Chicago, Aragon Ballroom, nice guys. But I'm still tripped that TxMom likes such stuff. TxMom, when are we goin' to see Gwar together???:aok
-
No, the real jaw dropper is if TxMom admits to liking...
The Mentors.
THAT would be something.
-
Yeah that would be just a little too weird

I'll call you on that one, although I don't know why I feel compelled to, I guess that's what my parole officer called my "impulse control issue".
Just for the record, it ain't Heavy Metal. I know people call it that, but it ain't.
It's Thrash. A bastard stepchild of Punk, which is NOT Metal. The best 3 Heavy Metal Records were produced before Mustaine or King ever plugged in a guitar.
Easy distinction..... Heavy Metal is extra hard Rock, Thrash/Speed/Death/Hardcore is a metronome having a seizure.
Now I know some may feel we're splitting hairs here but I've shed blood over this issue. As have many who've fallen before me.
BTW, Does any one remember when the term "Heavy Metal" was first associated with a band?
-
Never heard of the Mentors. I do like some of the bubble-gum boy bands that are out recently though... well, select songs from some of them.

I heard it was Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild. In reference to the lyrics "Heavy metal thunder"

The Mentors were an AWESOME band. Great lyrical content with deep messages. Listen closely.

Close enough, same year as where I was going. Although the lyrics are actually a band's reference to thunder not a reference to a band.
I was thinking of Iron Butterfly, but the term has to be a bit older than that.
