I have missed the development updates on a regular basis the last few years. This is a nice change that I hope will remain in the coming months/years.
Thanks HTC. :)

Amen!
-
Aye. I'd almost forgotten what it's like to see regular updates.
So far the score is:
2 new (P39D/Q, LTARMobile), 2.5 updates (La5FN/7, LTARMobile). The anticipation is back.
-
P-39D and P-39Q are two different planes. So that's 3 new (counting whirblewind) and 3 redone!
-
Agreed, nice to finally see some updates...btw, what the heck have they been doing during the last three years?!

My sentiments exactly. Thanks to all involved, both HTC staff and the players contributing.

Hitechs keyboard had a broken "p" key thus negating any new planes.

Relaxing with their feet up, making you think they were working on Combat Tour ;)

I thought only the LA's were being redone.
EDIT: Doh, Osti's being redone.
SWEET!
Although I do think a very very small perk price should be added to the Wirbel, even 2-3 perks.

Combat Tour :rofl I forgot about that one the day after the first news item.
Combat Tour would be as likely as making AH2 DX10. Still good to see the odd update still coming out. Personally I'd just like to see all the aircraft upgraded to AH2 rather then anything new.

They're catching up. It get's harder with some of the rarer aircraft, that didn't have as many good cockpit photos ( N1K2?) where it will be a real bear. That will eat up a buncha time in just research.
-
I have a feeling more new and redone planes to come in the next week or so!
-
Used to be they would post about what AC would be out next and they would almost always have something they did not tell us about. Was great!
We were always happy with the new AC and then they would toss us more. Great times. :D

Back on topic:
There's also the option that we might lose certain aircraft.
The only reason HTC put the n1k2 in, in the first place, was to have a "competitive" new plane for the already-late-war (and limited) planeset. There's a similar reason they added the "G10" also, which was always a K-4 but with G10 armaments. Now, after all this time, the focus has changed from simply adding competitive planes to adding better representative planes (in many cases).
So, hypothetically, if they had originally added the P-47M just so it could compete with 109Ks and 51Ds, then they come back and revisit the P-47s, add the D11, the D25, the D40, they might remove the 47M entirely as it really doesn't fit.
Just saying, it "could" happen. If a plane was put in based on different criteria way back when AH1 started, those criteria might not be in place today.

I don't see that HTC will ever remove an aircraft.
That would really seem contrary to their efforts to satisfy the AH community and a LOT of waisted business/man hours.

They added the N1K2-J because they wanted to add something for the Japanese different than the standard A6M or Ki-84. There is no reason they'd remove the N1K2-J, more than 400 were built.
