I think the word you're looking for is: "Wooden"

You'd figure Lucas would at least spend a little bit of that fortune on GOOD animation. Might be worth watching if he used the animation like the Beowulf movie.

would be wasted on the target audience.

I was under the impression via the Star Wars web page that this isn't a movie, but a set of TV shows, all 30 minutes long.
-
They were originally aired on Cartoon Network as shows, and I guess they're being edited together into a single story. This is done by Genndy Tartakovski, the guy behind Dexter's Laboratory. I love his stuff, but never really watched these so I don't know if they're any good.

The Clone Wars movie/episodes is pretty good. My oldest son (11) got it a couple of years ago for his birthday and he watches it with his little brother a couple of times a month. Also I had heard from a friend who used to work out there at Skywalker Ranch that the animated series will kick off later this summer. There will not be any more Star Wars movies like we are used to since the stories after Return of the Jedi are so wide ranging. We may get to see some movies based on a few of the stories that are out there like the battle against the Vong people or even one against the Imperial Remnant. Who knows...

No, these aren't the same shows.

Oh! My mistake then, there was an animated series of the same dang name in 2003:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361243/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Clone_Wars
It's confusing, this new one is listed as a 'spin off' of the above.

The Clone War movies were very good. They really filled in a lot blanks from the live-action films. I thought the voice talent was spot-on.
I would love to see Lucas make a film exploring Han Solo's escapades prior to "A New Hope". Obviously he couldn't use Harrison Ford but I think that is just a minor technicality.'
Why is it that Ford is the only actor from any of the Star Wars movies to go on to become a movie star?

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think it was because he was the only one who could act.

If you look at the "stars" (no pun) of the show, only Ford and Guiness had any acting experience. The rest were all new talent/unknowns.
Its been said over and over on the documentaries that Lucas is a brilliant writer, but as for a script, he failed. He would write some excellent scenes, but as Carrie Fischer would say on interviews, real people do not talk like that in scenes. Thus why the dialogue, for the most part, seems so wooden.
I think the best example of this is Empire Strikes Back, which Lucas did not direct. You get a much bigger sense of the characters versus, say the original Star Wars.

I'd like to see a movie done based on The Knights of the Old Republic.

I'd prefer KOTOR3 to come out. I've been hearing some rumors lately. I've heard that KOTOR3 will come out in 2-3 years. I've also heard that instead of a SP RPG, they'll be making KOTOR3 a MMORPG. An online universe set in the time frame after KOTOR2.

I'd love to see a KOTOR3. I was somewhat disappointed in KOTOR2.

Interesting. When I finish this piece of a project I'm working on, I'm going to reload it with the Jedi Temple and Droid Planet Mods.
