Title: Forum Ignore List Glitch

The following people were put on my ignore list:
Bongoroo, Louis XVII, Ocean27, and Viking


I DID NOT ADD THESE PEOPLE.  

I've never added anyone.

I thought maybe I might have done this by accident so I just let it go.  Recently another person said the same thing happened to them with the EXACT same people on their ignore list.

Same here. I did not add them. On the other hand, I've not seen any "You have blocked this post" notices that usually associate blocking somebody.

Not a bug, but a feature.  When pests get banned, they automatically get put on global ignore lists as people refused to stop responding to their trolls.

You can remove them, but they will get added again.

Skuzzy, I did a search for posts from all the folks listed, and aside from bongoroo (couldn't find any from him??) none of these folks are listed as PNG.

:lol Someone who's been on my ignore list for over two years must have been made a moderator. At least that's what the message says when try to update my list.:rolleyes:

Skuzzy --

Just a theoretic question about this. Does the automatic addition of the pests' names reduce the slots available for users to self select?

And oh, by the way, on noticing this a while back I manually deleted the names. You implied that you have things set up to restore your list, but it hasn't kicked in for me. Just FYI.

The list increases in size each time I add people to it Sim. I presume there's some max size for it, but if you have half the board ignored, maybe the problem is you... :)  heh

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.

Several times I've checked my ignore list and was suprised to find a whole slew of names being ignored.

I have not added a single person.

Is it a case of reciprocial ignore when someone ignores me? Meaning they put my name on their list and their name appears on mine.

Any ideas?

I still haven't comes to terms with my pest label.  Skuzzy, I see how a pm from myself may have been construed as whiny, beggy, or rude but I honestly was just trying to ask for some clarification on what I had done to be added to this universal pest list.  I commented on fairness when I guess I should have just reported the other person the appropriate way.  It was also the first time I've had a forum post go against the rules and feel that the punishment was harsh for a gray area and my lack of a previous problem record.

Could we use pm to talk this out please?  thanks!

That's because she's the admin of your household forum; you can't block messages from her. :p
