i know we have the later versions but could we have a earlier version of a b24 and a b17.
b24d with the glass nose and a 17 e would be nice.
there would be a nice amount of skins that could be done as well

B-17F was the early version. Earlier B-17s saw very limited action.
-
B-17F would be better, many more Fs were built than Es and they are comparable in capability and service time.

What model do you think the 8th used in 1943 and 1944 until the G replaced them?
The Memphis Belle was a B-17F-10-BO (41-24485).
A total of 3405 B-17Fs were built--2300 by Boeing, 605 by Douglas, and 500 by Lockheed-Vega. That is a lot of B-17s sitting around doing almost nothing.

He's saying that versions before the F (E and previous) were the less used ones.

Need the greenhouse-nosed B-24 for Ploesti scenarios. :)

B24D and B17F would make the most sense. The E did see limited use early in the ETO on the first few missions, and more use in the early PTO, but the F was there for essentially the same time frame and would provide many more skinning options then the E would
That being said, I'd hope HTC would put the energies into adding or updating other birds before they got around to the 24D and 17F.
