Terrible Quality bud... Takes all the good shots away. Love the music!

hehe Dugy,
I haven't yet watched it all - but the mouse pointer is my hero - that really made me laugh :D :aok
But more seriously, you have made some interesting rotating camerashots and sync'ed it well to the Pink Floyd music - nice job. :)
Skuzzy should watch 5:30 - it clearly shows the reported stutter-problem in the filmviewer.
Only the players plane stutters, the other planes are smooth - which I think suggests its not related to high CPU/GPU load.
(Note: the camera is linked to the players plane and therefore it looks like its all the other planes which stutter)

.... agree.

the vid quality makes it totaly unwatchable
I can never say this enough.....when you render your films up the quality it will make your file much bigger but you will have way better films.
This film was made and rendered on a AGP system with a asus gforce6600 256meg card.....

Wow,
those are some awsum fliks dude, when you say "RENDER UP" how exactly do you mean, i have been playing with getting better quality, but what you have there is better then my films look right out of fraps, so i'm not sure what to do to get that quality.
Any help would be great.

Usually it's the 2-passes when rendering that gives you good film quality. THough other settings gets you better quality as well... WMM doesn't do this, but you can do it in Vegas...
-
yeah wmm is good for learning but in the long run it just dont do what you really want it to. I use vegas 7 and when you render you have all sorts of choices for quality i usually use 8ms 1080i cuz with divx you have to use dr.divx which compresses the file. when you compress wmv file to divx you end up losing quality but its a small bit and not real noticable.

I've had 3d animation instructors point this very thing out in class:
Don't take a 15 minute long song (12 in this case) and just string endless footage over it.
It doesn't work. You're not creating a story, you're not showing something off, you're not teaching (i.e. showing cool manuvers, whatever), you're just stringing endless clips together for 12 minutes.
If you're doing a music video, best to keep it under 5 minutes (LESS if possible).
Here's an example. For all those that want to start editing, do a ***30 second*** video first! Make it have a beginning and an end!
If you can pull that off, you're on your way.
Much as I like Pink Flloyd, I couldn't watch much past the 3 minute mark on dugy's film.

i was just looking at WMM and thought i would add that you can change the vid quality with it.....when you goto save to my computer you will get the save movie wizard. after selecting where you wanna save and the name you want you hit next.....now you should be at the movie setting screen......click show more choices then you can set file size and give it a higher quality.
good job on your film dugy, my first films had bad quality but after time and playing around with stuff im actully starting to make better films.
