I saw this on TMZ and I have to agree this is the dumbest tattoo ever, not only did this guy get a tattoo of a chick with large breast, he also got mini implants put in under the skin.

Tats are ok if they mean something to you, and are something that either A) you can explain or b) people "get" without the explanation. If you have one that everyone looks at and says "huh?" even after you explain what it means, then its stupid.
Personally I'm getting sick of every high school or college aged female in the US getting those stupid "butt hat" tattoos. They were stupid when the trend first started, and they're even dumber now. And I'm sure they're gonna be sexy as hell in 60 years.

AKA Tramp Stamps, and for good reason, it tells alot about the owner. It may be a butterfly now, but in 25 years it will be a deformed owl.

a better explanation is mommy getting a butterfly on her chest, and years later the grandkids asking to see big bird

I can appreciate the sentiment, but that tattoo artists should be castrated.

Have to agree with Treize . . . the tattoo looks like a zombie version of the person in the picture.

Absolutely. I can only fault the recipient for not researching his artist better.

Also getting someones name tattooed on your body is a bad idea, it's just a mood killer when your having sex with a girl and you see another guys name.

I most often hear that type of tattoo as being called a "Tramp stamp".
Although I did see one girl who had a big set of deer antlers back there... She had a nice rack comming and going.

[When teenager Joanne Raine had her boyfriend's nickname "Roo" tattooed on her stomach it was supposed to be a sign of her undying love.
The 19-year-old from Darlington paid £80 for the Chinese artwork in 2004 and was delighted with the results.
That was until she showed it off in a Chinese takeaway and found out it actually spelled "supermarket."
The pair have now split up, but Miss Raine said she will keep the tattoo because she cannot afford a new one.
She said: "I did it because I wanted to show him how much I loved him and he had one done as well.
"I did not think about whether it meant forever. I'm just going to have to keep it as I can't afford to get another one done."]

If they are going to get one on their back it should be a target circle at the top of a distance marker. That way at least you get to measure your.....nevermind.
I can't stand those either. I did date a girl that had one of the coolest tattoos I had ever seen. Her father was killed in Viet Nam and she had a small tattoo that was his name as it had been rubbed off the wall in DC. She never got to see her father in anything other than photos and her mother never remarried. She had that on her left shoulder blade and it was maybe 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall.

Stupid girl.

"n Show Of Support, Group Gets Misspelled Tattoos
Artist Is Target Of Lawsuit Over Mistake, Gets Unusual Help From Friends

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
CHICAGO (CBS) ― Support has been growing for the Chicago tattoo artists who botched the spelling of a tattoo on a man's chest.
Michael Duplessis filed a lawsuit recently against Jade Dragon Tattoo and Body Piercing, at 5331 W. Belmont Ave., over a tattoo that he said was supposed to read CHI-TOWN in capital letters. He says it came out CHI-TONW.
As a show of solidarity on Thursday night, several tattoo artists got the CHI-TONW tattoo themselves, on purpose.
"My friends are supporting me by saying, 'Hey, you know, it happens. We've done it. You just got, you know, blown up on it," said tattoo artist Sam Hacker, who gave Duplessis the tattoo.
Hacker admits he made the mistake two years ago, but offered to fix it. He said Duplessis never came back.
Hacker is offering the tattoo to customers at Jade Dragon for free this Sunday. So far, eight people have already signed up.
Duplessis, who is a mechanic, filed the lawsuit earlier this month in Cook County Circuit Court. The suit sought monetary damages, and he claims suffered "emotional distress from public ridicule."
Duplessis -- who is a mechanic -- says he paid $250 for the 2005 tattoo"

Things go full circle- there was a time a couple of generations ago (when they first came out with the tattoo gun) that they were almost as popular as they are now, but the designs and styles were different from what they are now and they weren't usually shown off the way they are now.
Those old movie cliches of whalers, sailors, soldiers, laborers etc. being covered in ink had a basis in fact. Usually they were to comemmorate events and places the person had been back in the days before anyone could just hop on a plane and go around the worl in a day or two- back then, when you'd been someplace exotic, you got the tat to prove it.

I have had mine for decades. some of em would make some of you girls get the vapors but...
I have never regretted em. they are who I was. and.. to some extent who I am. No big deal.. but I would miss em if they were gone.
No urge to get new ones at this stage of life tho.
