Was tottaly new to me, woah.

**This bomb type was the first cluster bomb ever used operationally.**
Imagine being able to lay these down over map rooms and on beaches.
Or other places* ;)
Could be fun.

could be fun for senarios and snapshots, but i can see them being overly used in the MA. Where field captures would be impossible. Then again dropping some eggs or rockets to "disarm" them would make it possible i guess. Would be cool to lay them down on a stretch to town to limit the movement of GVs. Or even stop spawn campers!!
In that case, ha, another idea, when they are laid down, a friendly ICON comes up where they have been dropped so you dont "accidentally" drive over a mine field.....

I dont think they could disable a GV. In Operation Barbarrossa they were used for destroying Soviet aircraft on the ground and other soft targets. The only purpose I could think of for them would be towns, but Im not sure if that would work.
BTW, among other planes, these were mounted on bombracks on the bottom of 109E4's. They were also called 'splitterbomben' IIRC.
