Title: I cant hear anything, Help

Ok so my wifes laptop that i was using for aces high died. So my buddy gave me his spare desk top. Game runs fine, actually better, but there is no sound at all. This is the sound device that that the computer has, I think, Yamaha Native DS1 VDM . The computer also has , ABIT EQ, which I can hear the sound test on that. I did all the troubleshooting and nothing works, it says everthing is working fine and there are no conflicts.
Please help

This may be too simple. Try reinstalling your drivers. Had the same problem and it fixed it.
