Title: CH Pro Pedals Gameport (Product # PP91KAS)
Post by: Neil Roche on February 22, 2008, 01:46:56 PM
Guys,

Recently I acquired a CH Products Pro Pedals (Product # PP91KAS) unit.

This unit is a Gameport model and my Computer has no Gameport, only USB.

I read, on a post, that the Radio Shack  USB to game port adapter (model # 26-728) would work as a solution to this problem, but Radio Shack no longer sells this item.

I would really like to get my Pro Pedals # PP91KAS to work with AHII.

Have any of you been able to get an adaptor to work in solving this ?

I got an old pair of analog non-pro CH pedals, and they sit on a "Rockfire" USB adapter. The adapter is set to make them look like a 4 axis joystick. AH2 sees them as that too - but i only map the Z (?) axis to the rudder. Works perfectly. YOu should be able to do something very similar.

Another thing you could do is purchase a PCI sound card.  Most will have a gameport plug build into the card.

Then you can plug the pedals into that, and upgrade your sound at the same time!
