Title: Squadmate icon?

I'm wondering why I see someone's icon in the squadmate color and I know he's not a squadmate?

If you had radio 5, vox, tuned to '4 squad' they would have to be in the squad.
IF tuned to the same radio 5 channel and squad/voice highlight is on you will see them in the 'orange' icon.
