I came across this and had totally forgotten all about this movie. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. I can't even remember if it was any good. This scene is pretty cool. Tomcats and Texans...

Whoa, do you realise the implications of this documentary? This shows that the Germans werent the first to have jets in World War II. The U.S. Navy had them earlier. This is awesome, I need to spread this around so people know the truth!

haha, funny movie. That one zero almost augered that f14 in. If that interests yall, try reading the "7th Carrier" series of novels. its about a japanese carrier that had been trapped in ice cave finally breaking out and attacking pearl harbor. Then the leader of libya, omar kadafi leads a jihad because some chinese satellite system designed to blow up rockets freaks out and starts frying every single jet engine thats turned on. Making this japanese carrier and its fighters the single more powerful military unit in the world. its pretty interesting. the use modern technology to soup up warbirds. Ends up being a battle between some Wright R3350 powered zeros against 3,000 some odd HP 109s.

speaking of old books... anyone else read (iirc) The Wingman series back in the day? Post-ww3 freelance fighter pilot action, like Mad Max with jets, been a while but I remember really enjoying reading that series...
