Ok another thread. Recently had the chance to fly for about an hour and 20 min with a T-2E of 120 training Wing in Kalamata AB, Greece. The flight was a typical advanced training set-up with a student with his instructor that manned the other aircraft. T-2s are used for advanced and operational training while there is a tender going on for a replacement. Here are some pictures. Hope you like them.
PS Btw SFCHONDO I have not forgot your OYZO just give me some time more plz.

in T-6 sim. I dream the day that AH will be some like that
Oh btw for those who think AH as a game only. I tried the same T-6 sim couple yrs ago. What happened during these two yrs I play AH? BIG I mean BIG change the way I could fly this sim a month ago. Huge improvement in every aspect of handling the plane. So, for those who are plane nerds like my self AH really improve their flying skills.

Great stuff!
Are you in the Air Force or?
I'm completely envious, I'd love to have a chance at that some time, great for you! :aok
-
:O awesome.
-
Nice, very nice. Thanks.

I am happy that you liked the photos. Thnx. No Wolf I am not a pilot. I m an aviation journalist -and a plane nerd- and from time to time I get the chance to fly with jets here –I mean Greece- or abroad.
-
Seems to me you have a great job description.
Wanna trade? You can do graphic design and I get to fly jets! :D
And don't tell me how easy it is to get laid :D
Jokes apart, how does the sim compare to the real deal, obviously there's the whole physics of it that can't be simmed. But I mean the whole enviroment, flight model etc - and how would such a sim compare to say AH or MSFSX?
-
Great videos as well, thanks.
I'm spotting what seems to be arrestor hooks on those babies. Greece has carriers?

Good to hear that! I'm a plane nerd and I still want to be a pilot, sooner or later! ;)
Thanks for sharing another one of your flights, Panos, one of this days you got to tell me how you got that wonderful job! :)
Wolf, I don't think they have carriers... the planes were US Navy trainers, that's why they have the hook.

Very nice Bro! Ever get a chance to use that tailhook?

what ? no LA7 panos?
Sounds like fun thanks for sharing!

Cool, thanks!

I must say, that T-2 is a sexy little plane.
Put bigger engines on it, and some fuel tanks, maby a 20mm gun pod.
It reminds me of a mini f4, with tiny engines.
Im up..

Shut it Gian. What do you need carriers for if you have an island every a couple of miles?

Same reason for which we didn't built carriers in WWII... we had a peninsula! :D

Don’t think there is much of a comparison. T-6 sim is a fully equipped fully factional cockpit and the FM is exactly like the real thing. But, like I said through AH you can “explore” and “exploit” your potential abilities in flying an airplane in the maximum possible degree.
Thanks for sharing another one of your flights, Panos, one of this days you got to tell me how you got that wonderful job!
Overall don’t think is such a great achievement Gian to fly with a jet as a backseater after all. Even a monkey can seat in back and fly. The only problem is to get used to gear that squeeze you all over and not get airsick. Btw Gian I flew once in Italy from Venegono airport base of Aermacchi with a S-211A.
Very nice Bro! Ever get a chance to use that tailhook?
Lol. Id love that but no. Students though they use it, on the rnwy during the operational phase just to get the taste
what ? no LA7 panos?
Oh common Bruv I only use La.sporadically. I prefer my Yak or Dora.

Agree with u Dedalos
I must say, that T-2 is a sexy little plane.
It is a very nice plane indeed. Only problem is that we are the only worldwide buckeye users right now and I don’t know for how long we are going to find spare parts for that thing.
