would we have if all the AH musicians could get together for a gig?
I'm just curious what kind of musical talent we have in our little community. I know that Thruster, sluggish, Skyrock and some others I can't remember right now play on a regular basis. Who else calls himself a musician, singer, performer. You don't have to be a pro at it ,but if you practice your instrument on a regular basis,or sing in church choir ,or play in a city orchestra, garage band, etc., post here and tell us what, and how long. Just curious as to what kind of ensemble we could put together if we could all magically meet somewhere.
I'll start, I'm a mostly self taught keyboard player, playing rock and blues, jazz and funk. I do a little singing and I've been playing in club and garage bands for about 30yrs now.
p.s. you guys I mentioned please post and tell us about your musical life also.
p.p.s. I'm betting we will have a large guitar section :)

It's a well known fact that chicks dig guitar players.

Well, the guitar playing is starting to flow for me. I can recognize scales, keys (though I don't remember the names of all of them) and can maneuver pretty easily.
But it all goes to **** the moment I try to sing as well.

I remember my first time to be able to play and sing Metallica's Master of Puppets for the first time.
Was a MAJOR milestone for me.
Then later I got into blues. It was uphill again. Then milestone and plateau.
Now I'm getting into jazz. Another uphill.

I always thought size didn't matter. Mine are for the most part pretty average....
Guitar since '70, behind the glass since '82
Since nowadays I only get paid to mix (occasionally), we can see how well those lessons payed off.
