I did a search, didn't quite find what I was looking for.

If I bail out of a shot-up airplane, is that better score-and-ranking-wise than just riding the thing into the dirt?

The only thing that I am aware of is that it helps in percentage of perk points recieved. You will receive more points for a bail then a death.

Well I guess I'm new enough that I don't know if I SHOULD care about that.  

But I think I see the general leaning by the nature of your post.  :)
