Title: A Special Thank you....
Post by: REP0MAN on March 01, 2008, 12:17:41 AM
I want to extend a very special thank you to the ever growing player base of FSO. This event is taking off in a direction we (the CM's) all knew possible. We owe a lot to our faithful veteran squads and their continued cooperation. Thank you to the new comers as well.

A special congrats to Nefarious on a wonderful event. Attendance numbers were:

Frame One: 324 Players
Frame Two: 360 Players
Frame Three: 355 Players
Grand Total: 1039 Players combined!

Excellent work Nef!

This next week is the off week; Look for squad update requests and the new event to hit early next week!

Been a great event, really enjoyed it. Even though we got our butts kicked. Still had fun.

Nice one Nef.

Nice turn outs <>

I think the premier of "Battle 360" on the History channel may have had an effect on the numbers this last frame compared to frame II.  :rofl

Well, the FIGHTING 31 (F4U-1A), 880 (F4U-1A), Raw Prawns (TBM), & AK's (TBM) all met at said rally spot & then headed off to our target, meanwhile there were 109's that came to the rally spot too :|, BECAUSE it was near a allied CV, they followed us to our target where we were welcomed w/ open gunfire...

We got ambushed, cause I believe the 109's where informing the rest of the axis that there was a big raid inb.  LUCKY US!!

Thanks and hats off to the development team!!  Great, great job!

With adversity comes great opportunity...

Could have split your forces to see if you could have ditched the 109s.

Went into the target from a different direction if time allowed.

Anything else you can think of now in hindsight?

Ignore stupid orders that have us rally over a primary target?

Last night was a welcome change from the previous frame for VMF-251. Was quite satisfying to be the ones sitting up on the perch for a change. :D

Title: GREAT FSO scenario
Post by: Viper61 on March 01, 2008, 09:57:23 PM
Many thanks to the CM staff and all of the "behind the scenes" guys that put these events together.  Well done!!  <> all

The weather was by far the neatest thing I had seen in a game and I will say that the 325th VFG commented on the weather effects throughout the entire scenario.  Hope to see a lot more of that in the future.

Also what was nice about this set up was that it was even in objectives to attack and defend.  The CIC's had plenty of options and considerations in other words it wasn't a "Canned" scenario in which the ALLIES always win and AXIS always loses.  Nicely done!

Keep the scenario's simple, even and straight forward and I know the numbers will only continue to grow.

You (and everyone else) are very welcome. A lot of people come together to make these happen, and we appreciate your thanks.
