Anyone have any idea how much longer it will be before it is released?
Are any more new features going to be added? Or has everything now been set and is announced at this point?
The GV crowd is dying to see this released. :aok :aok

Does it come with the soldier too?
-
I got an inside source. Two weeks.
-
i thought we got 1 more american model, 1 more russian model, and 1 more german model ready. Either 2 in 1 week or we wait 3 weeks. But that's what my inside sources are telling me.

Is that like the state puff marshmellow man, but from asian decent?
Im just woundering is all, they could be brothers for all i know.

I predict that a new patch will come out a week or so after the new version. Possibly less if there are any major problems.

Bravo!:aok
-
"And the weeks counted shall be two, two being the second week counted to. Thou shalt not count to one, except that thou countest immediately to two after. Three is right out! After thou countest to two weeks, being the second week counted to, then pullest thou the plug on the server, throw the patch on, start it up and blowest thy customer's whines to smithereens, in thy mercy."
-
By the way, even "versions" are patches. A patch updates an executable without fully reinstalling it. Going from 1.0 to 1.1 takes you to a new version, yes, but you use a patch installation to get there.
-
It's a new version of the game they're asking about. Not, "When is the patch installer out?"
-
The new version will come via a patch. So asking "when's the patch out" is a perfectly valid question.
-
No no no... It may patch executables and game files, overall it is a new version of the game.
-
Folks are confusing "patch" with "update" or "revision"
A patch can describe anything that isn't a full reinstall from scratch. Patches have in every other game in existence updated features, aspects, etc. The patch is just the method for introducing changes, whatever changes they might be. The size of any changes doesn't matter, nor the complexity, you can still call it a "patch"
Semantics, I know.

Well.... You do have to re-do the Cache due to the new planes and redone planes.

Aces High II: Version 2.11 Released
Hmmmm.
-
Yes Denholm.... your point?
Motherland: That's true of a lot of cases. Hell, if you run the skin viewer it rebuilds your cache. That's not the game itself, that's just re-extracting the graphics files (which are updated sometimes in patches) from their compressed state.
-
patch...version..update,,,who cares what it's called...we just anxious to get the new toys and my new task group:D

I'm fairly positive you know the point.
-
No, I actually have no clue what pointing out a news headline has to do with the meaning "patch" vs "version" -- I don't think you realize the difference.
-
Subscribed yet, Denholm?
-
Let me put it this way: Why are you trying to force people to use your definition, denholm? It's an update, it's a patch, it's a version.
It's ALL of these.
ANY of these are valid.
Asking "when is the update?"
is the same as asking "when is the patch?"
is the same as asking "when is the new version?"
Why are you quibbling over something that everybody can understand anyways?
-
There's a difference between the patch and the new version. In this game a Patch is designed to fix bugs from the recently released versions. A new version includes new features, and sometimes, fixed features.
-
lol
The semantic twins are at it.

nope
HTC doesn't refer to it as a "patch" -- that's just a common term in the English language relating to software.
HTC might call 'em "bug fixes" or "update"
Your definition is limited. Sometimes a new "version" incorporates no discernable new features, as we have had a few that changed the way stuff was worked on behind the scenes (in preparation for adding CT and what-not).
Anyways, the only official terms HTC uses are "VERSION" and "REVISION
So you can have VERSION 2.11, and REVISION 1, so "2.11 r1"
A patch is an update is a version. You can't have an update without a new version, even if the version only changes from 3.04 to 3.045, that's a new number, so a new version.
It's all the same. Why you keep trying to argue it, I don't know.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT...........anything to tide me over till the new version/patch/revision comes out.
-
A patch can be a update, or new version of software, it could also serve as a upgrade.
From what i understand, you release a working version, and the patch further updates and inhances the program, and its version( to keep track).
But you release updates* as useualy they are new versions.
1.0 "release"
1.1b "patch"
2.0 "release, or update"
We probably wont be getting a new patch, we will be getting a new version or release.
After that, it will be patched.
So we should be from 2.11 to 2.12 patch 0
Then it will be 2.12 patch 1 so on and so forth.
Right now, our aces high is version 2.11 patch 3.
I highly doubt we will see a jump in version number from 2.11 to say 3.0
If we did, we would probably be calling aces high, ace's high 3.
oh, so right now we are at release 2 "2." update 11 ".11" patch 3 "yeah".
Hope this helps.

Karma, you're thinking "revision"
We have 2.10 revision B, not "patch" b.... just as example.
Going from 2.09 to 2.09 r1 is a patch, as is going from 2.09r1 to 2.10 (also a patch).
Now, when you go from 2.09r1 to 3.0 THAT would be a version.

Domo, the main character, is described on the English-language official website as "a strange creature that hatched from an egg.
"Domo-kun" is a friendly title often used with young males. Domo-kun's favorite food is Japanese-style meat and potato stew, and he has a strong dislike for apples, due to an unexplained mystery in his DNA.
