Title: Coming soon, 100 Hour War
Post by: croduh on March 03, 2008, 01:40:10 AM
I've been working on my new map based on the 100 Hour war (Soccer War), war between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969.
The tensions between the two nations were reflected by rioting at a football (soccer) match between them, but the war was not caused by football, as has been popularly imagined internationally. The war was caused by political differences between Hondurans and Salvadorans, including immigration from El Salvador to Honduras.
If map gets approved by htc there could be a snapshot ran on it, or some other special event.I made this small video as a preview of some scenes.Hope you like it;)

For me the video cuts off at 1:39. Other than that the buildings looks very lovely.

Very Cool Croduh. <>  Can't wait to fly that... Do you code those buildings yourself? Or how does that work?

AC3D, or for those who don't want to pay, Blender with XJazz's export scripts works well.

Buildings & trees LOD work looks very nice.

Hi all,
Thanks!
Den, try removing the &fmt=6 from the link, you'll get a lower res video but it should work.

Btw, i am writing this from my mobile phone acc. Because my house internet is down.

He's a Terrain maker, 3D designer, and I recently saw him the the Custom sounds and skins forum. Most likely he made those F4U skins.

I know he makes skins, I fly one of his G2 skins (normally), but I wasnt so sure, as he recently asked someone to do a G10/K4 skin for him in the Custom Skins forum.

The two great f4u skins are done by Greebo, and Rogerdee is making an interesting p51 skin that will go in the map too.

Bullocks, it was all about football! :D

Great job, Cro, the terrain is amazing and even the shots you used are great! You should do the filmmaker! ;)

Btw, if someone wants to know more about that war, check this link out:

Beautiful.

Those white buildings and palm trees would be great for a Phillippines special events terrain.    Leyte?   Phillippine Sea?   Luzon?   Would be wonderful to see.   You do great work, croduh.
