Oh wait, I get it now.  

In liberalism, it is acknowledged that Islamist issues tend to galvanize regular people towards voting for conservative leaders who are better on the defense of our country.

 so... anything that reminds regular people that Islamists are real must be poo-pooed...  

Actually, I think the Dutch are confronting the hate factor head on.

I can see Youtube being replaced by smaller services that do not bow to PC or copyrights. Apparently that is already happening and Youtube is becoming the place for homevideos only.

There used to be DivX's Stage6.  This one had HIGH DEFINITION video streaming. It's too bad it was shutdown Feb 28.  They said it was too expensive to maintain

I like Youtube because it's censored. I do not blame them for not wanting to be a vehicle for hate and bigotry. I surf youtube in order to laugh at funny videos, or look at cool stuff.

I visited Youtube to see videos I wouldn't see otherwise. Now those videos, that I cannot see otherwise, are removed due to political correctness and copyrights.

I do not know what kind of video is in the question, but I don't think the muslims will leave it at that. In the name of political correctness every critical video of islam will be removed, simply because it upsets muslims. It won't be left at that either, political correctness is a cancer that spreads. Freedom of speech is all about the opposing opinions, you're not obliged to agree with the others and you have the right to critisize. You may not like some of the opinions, but that is the very essence of freedom of speech. We don't have to please one another, that is the freedom, as long as we don't step over the line.

I'm doubtful that YouTube is really serious about addressing this issue.   There are many videos slamming Islam still online.

Look at the views... ONLY 900 views so far.  Not even on the front page.  It's a needle in the haystack.  It's yet to be flagged.

Compare that to a well known dutch documentary trailer.  It must have recieved more thna 100,000 views... and numerous FLAGS.  That video must have been FLAGGED to death.  Because of the number of FLAGS it recieved, documentary clip was removed.

And I don't get why there's a lot of people bawling over this.  The anti-islam documentary (the one with the most views) was removed simply because of the number of FLAGS it received.  

There are many copies of that video at youtube right now.  They won't be removed unless it receives more than 1 billion FLAGS next time:aok

Youtube doesn't bow to islam.  They just do what they have to do when their videos receive enough flags~

So you are saying that a small MINORITY of You Tube viewers can effectively censor the website for everyone else?

That does not seem to be at all Democratic.

Yup. Some of my favorite hot videos there, most of them mellow to my standards... gets removed.:mad:
