Title: More SAPP 38 landing artistry.....
Post by: Guppy35 on March 03, 2008, 11:54:48 PM
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better...er...worse

Upping from a capped field.  Barely get the wheels up, Seafires and F4s all around.  Can our hero survive?  Well Corky can, even if the 38 doesn't.

Got clobbered but was going so slow that I didn't explode.  Skidded towards a building, fuel tanks and trucks only taking off a wing and one rudder.

The 38G tries to climb the building, shedding parts along the way before sliding between the building and a fuel truck...on fire.....smooth move no doubt.

The props are still turning however and the 38 apparently thinks it's a helicoptor as it goes up again.

Before depositing our hero on his nose between a truck and the building.  Now that's a landing!

Where in Minnesota are you Guppy?  I am in Prior Lake.

By the way...

I once landed a 172 in Perham just like your 38  :)

Except my "building" was an unnanounced snowbank on the runway.

lol

DUDE!  I'm in Prior Lake myself!

I'm on Franklin Trail, by the new apartments.

Where are you at?
