Why is it so surprising?

Oh I dont know.Seems texas is a heavy Republican base and Hilldawg would just taste wrong even to the Democrats.Shes a polarizing force to be sure.I think the Dems have a better chance with Obama than Hilldawg.I can see massive amounts of people that never voted turning out to stop her.Me included.

Singlehandedly, she will lose the democrats this election.

Well being that it was the primary and not the general election and also being that the dems had only 2 choices really, neither one of which is different from the other. There was only a 50 50 chance which one would get the state dem nomination.

There were quite a few of Republicans who voted in the Dem primary commando style for Hillary to throw a wrench in the process (Is it only in Texas they can do that??? Wierd rules...). The worst possible outcome would have been for Obama to have won a clear victory and the Dems would all be lovey-dovey and unified.
I bet a quarter of her votes in the Texas Democratic primary came from Republicans. :lol :lol

These States have a "closed Primary". That means dems only vote for dems and reps for reps. Hillary has done very well in closed primary States, meaning the "ditto heads" vote means very little.
Arizona - Clinton
California - Clinton
Colorado - Obama
Connecticut - Clinton
Delaware - Obama
District of Columbia - Obama
Florida [1] - Clinton (I know)
Massachusetts (Semi-closed primary) - Clinton
New Mexico - Clinton
New York - Clinton
Oklahoma - Clinton
Rhode Island (Semi-closed primary)[2] - Clinton
9-3 Clinton

Hillary is loved in Texas!!!!
-
neither one of which is different from the other.
:aok
The way I see it, the closeness is a good thing. A really good thing.
Now they can spend their time digging up bones......................on each other. :lol

the District of Columbia voted for obama, wow thats a surprise, who could have called that one.

I tell you what was teh funnaaay.
It was the first of OsamaObama`s speech in Texas.
He started off his speech trying to use a Texas drawl.
:lol

mt.. you are wrong.. it is not only dems allowed to vote for dems in the primaries in kalifornia.. any independent can vote for a dem but.. has to write in the republican strangely enough.. I know.. I am registered as an independent and I had to write in ron paul but the dems were on my ticket.

That is exactly what I said lazs. California is a closed primary.

mt.. maybe by the strictest defenition of the term "closed" but.. anyone can write in anyone. I thought that it was a strange thing that the democrats were on my ballot but not the republicans. that is a weird way to have a "closed" primary.
